Samurai games and ninja games want opposite things from you. The samurai fantasy is about standing still: reading one opponent, holding your guard until the exact frame it matters, and winning the duel in two exchanges. The ninja fantasy is about never being seen at all, and about how badly it goes when you are. Both are unusually good for achievement hunters, because the lists tend to be built out of the skills the game is teaching anyway - parry this many attacks, finish a level without an alarm, clear a duel without taking a hit - rather than out of collectible sweeps.
