Introduction
Welcome to American Arcadia! This is a 2.5D adventure game developed by Spanish studio Out of the Blue where you help the protagonist, Trevor Hills, escape from the titular reality TV series he finds himself trapped in. The game will instantly remind you of the movie The Truman Show with its premise. I really ended up enjoying American Arcadia, and the 100% is easy enough to achieve that the game has compelled me to attempt my first ever Achievement Guide. Crazy Cat Lady
Stage 1: Finish the story whilst paying attention to the 1 missable achievement
For the most part, you can enjoy the story without having to worry about missing achievements at all. American Arcadia features a Chapter Select, which lets you jump pretty close to any achievement you might have to clean-up. Only a single achievement is missable but relatively simple to clean up. It's not a big spoiler at all, but I'll add a spoiler tag regardless. The missable achievement starts to be relevant in Chapter 3.
To get Crazy Cat Lady, you need to make sure to pet Angela's cat during three separate scenes. 3x during scene 13, and 1x during scenes 16 and 20 respectively. The catch is that you also need to do that without closing the game in between, otherwise the achievement won't pop. If that happened to you, simply go to the scenes through Chapter Select after beating the game and pet the cat. You can exit the scenes to the main menu as soon as you pet the cat the amount of times I mentioned above and move on to the next scene. Just don't exit the game in between. Then the achievement should pop.
