Heists

Best Heist Games on Steam

A heist game lives or dies on the gap between the plan and what actually happens. The best ones give you a building, a rough idea of where the money is, and enough rope to hang yourself with - then let a single tripped alarm turn a quiet job into a running fight down a stairwell. Some of these are stealth puzzles you are supposed to solve cleanly, some are loud co-op shootouts that were never going to stay quiet, and a couple genuinely let you do either. Every game below has Steam achievements, and the lists tend to be unusually long, because a heist game can ask you to finish the same job again without being seen, without killing anyone, or without ever putting the mask on.

1PAYDAY 2
PAYDAY 2
Still the genre benchmark for four-player crime, and the reason most people know what a drill timer feels like. Its achievement list is the largest on this page by an enormous margin - well over a thousand entries built up across a decade of heist packs - so treat it as a hobby rather than a completion.

2HITMAN World of Assassination
HITMAN World of Assassination
The purest expression of the plan-then-improvise loop: enormous sandbox levels, hundreds of ways in, and a target who does not know you exist yet. Its achievements push you back through the same maps looking for the elegant solution rather than the fast one, which is the whole point of the game.

3Monaco 2
Monaco 2
Top-down heisting rebuilt in 3D, where every crew member sees a different slice of the building and the plan falls apart the moment one of them is spotted. Short, sharp levels that are meant to be replayed for a cleaner run.

4Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine
Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine
The original, and one of the sharpest co-op stealth designs ever made - a blueprint view that only reveals what your character can actually see, so four players are literally working from different information. A compact achievement list, which makes it the most realistic full completion here.

5Teardown
Teardown
The demolition answer to the genre: study the building, work out a route through the walls rather than the doors, then trigger the alarm on purpose and sprint the whole thing in sixty seconds. The planning phase is untimed, which is what turns it from a physics toy into a heist game.

6Thief
Thief
First-person burglary with the emphasis on getting out unseen rather than on combat, and it is at its best in the self-contained mansion jobs. The achievement list rewards ghosting and total loot sweeps, so it pulls you toward the careful playstyle the game is built around.

7PAYDAY 3
PAYDAY 3
A tighter, more stealth-literate take on the formula, with civilians and cameras that make a quiet run genuinely viable instead of a novelty. A far smaller achievement list than its predecessor, which for once is a mark in its favour if you want to actually finish it.

8Deceive Inc.
Deceive Inc.
The social-stealth idea taken to its logical end: everyone is disguised as an NPC, the objective is a briefcase, and the tell that gives you away is usually your own movement. Less about loot than about nerve, and its achievements come from playing the deception rather than the shooting.

9Crime Boss: Rockay City
Crime Boss: Rockay City
Wraps the co-op robbing in a turf-war campaign where a failed job costs you crew and territory, so there is a layer of consequence most heist games skip. Uneven, but the campaign structure gives the individual jobs a reason to exist.

10Filthy Animals | Heist Simulator
Filthy Animals | Heist Simulator
The comedy end of the genre - ragdoll animals, physics-driven chaos and jobs that were never going to go to plan. Its achievement list is short and mostly comes from simply completing jobs with friends, so it is a quick and cheerful palate cleanser after PAYDAY.
