FE112's Achievement Hunting Chronicles** || #001 || January-June 2026 Round-Up
What's up everyone! Really happy to see SteamVault create a section like this in the Forums, as I enjoy sharing updates on my own Achievement hunts as well as read about yours. So if anyone feels like sharing updates, I'd be happy to read them as well :) From my end, I'd like to share these updates monthly, and thought I'd start this off by going over my Statistics and which games I have completed in 2026 so far. These stats are from July 1st, and then at the end of July we can compare to see how I've done this month. ___ MY STATISTICS - Games Owned: 338 (+0 in 2026) - Games Started: 181 (+5 in 2026) - 100% Completed Games: 54 (+4 in 2026) - Current Backlog Size: 284 Games - Total Achievements: 3.141 (+165 in 2026) - Legendary Achievements (0-5%): 2 - Epic Achievements (5-10%): 28 - Rare Achievements (10-20%): 113 - Completion %: 49.7% - Money Spent 2026: 0.00€ - Personal Challenge Completions: 0/151 - "Achievement Calendar": 41/365 days (+4 in 2026) - SteamVault Titles Earned: 10/54 - SteamVault Collections Completed: 0/173 Quite the backlog, huh? As someone who enjoy a huge variety of games, you will pretty much find any genre amongst those games on my profile. I could just focus on what I already own and probably remain busy for the next 6 to 7 years at least. For the Epic / Legendary / Rare Achievements, I am using SteamHunters stats until SteamVault has its own earn rate by its users and a slightly higher member count. For example the two Legendary Achievements I have here belong to Super Meat Boy thanks to two no-death runs I finished. Please don't ask how the others are going ... :/ My completion % is quite low at 49.7% because I haven't been hunting achievements for most of my time as a gamer. On PlayStation I have a 99% completion, so that's all the more incentive to get my Steam number improved. The goal for this year is to get it to 60% at least. My Personal Challenges are just a bunch of random ones which I put into a spreadsheet. Unfortunately the Diaries forum doesn't have any features to link something or add images yet, so I'll just let you know which ones I have completed with every update post. The Achievement Calendar is a cool feature on a PS website, where you try to get a 100% completion on every day of the calendar year. Of course, not just within one year but every year combined. So far, I am 1/9 of the way there, with probably 40 more years to go to get this done. :D Would be cool to see SteamVault add a Challenge section for this, so I can see you guys tackle it as well. The final two stats are for SteamVault titles and collections, which have grown at an impressive rate. I don't see much progress being done here for a while, but it's going to be cool to keep track. ___ 2026 GAME COMPLETIONS SO FAR 1. Sifu (#51) Difficulty: 9/10 Playtime: 16 hours Completion Date: January 24 My Rating: 10/10 Sifu became one of my favorite games of all time pretty quickly, which is why it was a no brainer to go for the 100% despite its high difficulty. At a median time of roughly 40-50 hours, I did it pretty fast. There is a simple reason: I had gotten the platinum on PlayStation a few weeks earlier and my skills improved so much that I breezed through it on my second attempt. This is a beat 'em up game with martial arts hand-to-hand combat that is easy to learn but very hard to master. The problem? You have to master it to get the 100%. It's very rewarding, and incredibly fun, but be mindful of this because the 100% is no joke for sure. I had a blast with the game though and hope Sloclap return to something like it for their next game. 2. Amnesia: The Dark Descent (#52) Difficulty: 4/10 Playtime: 18.5 hours Completion Date: February 6 My Rating: 6/10 One of the most well-known horror games thanks to the fact that it pretty much became one of the first games to go viral on YouTube through let's plays. It truly is something special for accomplishing what it did at the time, especially as an indie game, and you're sure to be tense at all times while playing this yourselves. While I can say that, I also don't like the game a whole lot from a quality standpoint. The story is messed up but also nothing noteworthy. The sanity mechanic is more annoying than anything else and it can get boring to have to wait things out a lot of times. I played through the game six times in my life (once for the first time, once with my brother, twice for the plat, twice for the 100%) and I think I'm good now, though I will miss Agrippa's German accent. What makes it a 4/10 is the Hard mode, where you only have a limited amount of saves. That one is TENSE alright, but the sanity issue at the end is quite irritating. 3. Before Your Eyes (#53) Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 3.5 hours Completion Date: February 22 My Rating: 8/10 I really like this game. It's one of very few games that made me tear up with its story. This one has a unique mechanic: You need a webcam or a VR device to play it, and the game moves through scenes every time you blink in real life. Yes, really. While this might sound restricting and frustrating, it actually works really well and makes the experience a lot more intense and personal. Can't recommend it enough if you own one of those two things. 4. Downwell (#54) Difficulty: 8/10 Playtime: 1.5 hours Completion Date: May 15 My Rating: 8/10 This one is similar to Sifu. A very hard game I finished in very little time thanks to already being good at it. And that's I think a mark of a good game, where you can become so good at it that success becomes easily repeatable, with no BS in between. Successful runs take just 20 minutes in this one, so it's easy to pick up and play for a while. My platinum run took me 23 hours, as you need to beat the game on both Standard and Hard mode, but it only took me a few attempts each on Steam to get it done. Really enjoyable platformer where you jump down a well and try to reach the bottom using guns at the bottom of your feet, which you need to use to kill enemies and to slow down your descend. Really fun, goes for next to nothing on sale. ___ And that's it from me for this month. Hope to see your entries on here over the next weeks and months. Thanks to Schoonbee for the work on this site so far, it's coming along really nicely, and I hope to see the work rewarded with more sign-ups in the future. See you all for my next entry, happy hunting! :)
