Honestly I don't really know a lot about Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii; I learned a little bit about it in high school and I thought it was mildly interesting but like that's all I got really. I remember I watched this old 90s PSA type movie on the thing and it was pretty messed up how they portrayed it. I also watched a similar movie on Boudica and I really quite like her vibe, very cool individual in history. Even though her revolution against the Roman invasion failed, I still think her story is quite an amazing and brave one, and it's often one I think of. She lost everything and did everything she could to fight back and save her people, and it seems really quite noble to me. I do think I romanticize her story quite a bit, but I think the lens of history allows for one to look at the past in almost a novella sort of way. The fact that it was in the past makes it all feel less real, which can also be detrimental as it often allows for people to forget the obvious lessons we can take from our forefathers' past mistakes. Anyways congrats on getting out of there.
