Visit a Road
Visit a Road · 72.8% of players
~Minutes
Walk onto one of the map's roads.

Roads are the wide dirt and tarmac paths that link the monuments together — you can see them clearly on the in-game map (press G). Walk to the nearest one and the achievement pops. Roads are also where barrels spawn, so this one usually unlocks on its own within your first few minutes of looting.

Collect 300 Metal Ore
Collect 300 Metal Ore · 62.8% of players
~Under an hour
Gather 300 metal ore.

Metal ore comes from the rust-coloured metal nodes found across the map, most densely around rocky and mountainous terrain. Mine them with a pickaxe, then smelt the ore in a furnace to turn it into metal fragments. The achievement counts the raw ore, so it ticks as you mine.

Destroy 10 Barrels
Destroy 10 Barrels · 60.2% of players
~Minutes
Break 10 loot barrels.

Barrels line the roads and sit in clusters around monuments. Hit them with any tool or weapon until they burst, then loot the scrap, components and fuel they drop. Ten goes by in a single short road run.

Construct Base
Construct a Base · 58.2% of players
~Under an hour
Build a base.

Equip the building plan and place foundations, then walls, a doorway and a roof. Even a 2x1 starter with a door, a lock and a tool cupboard counts. Build away from the biggest monuments if you want it to survive the night.

Collect 65 Scrap
Collect 65 Scrap · 57.3% of players
~Under an hour
Gather 65 scrap.

Scrap is the currency of Rust. The easiest early source is roadside barrels and the crates inside low-tier monuments. You can also recycle components you do not need in a recycler (found at Outpost, Bandit Camp and most monuments) — that converts junk into scrap efficiently.

Acquire 50 Low Grade Fuel
Acquire 50 Low Grade Fuel · 55.8% of players
~Under an hour
Get 50 low grade fuel.

Low grade fuel drops from barrels and crates, and can be crafted from animal fat plus cloth. Killing and skinning animals is the reliable renewable source. Low grade is what powers furnaces indirectly, lanterns and tool cupboards' upkeep-adjacent items, so you will want a stock of it anyway.

Upgrade Base
Upgrade your base · 54.0% of players
~Under an hour
Upgrade a building block.

Equip the hammer, look at a twig or wooden block and pick a higher tier from the radial menu. Twig upgrades to wood, then stone, then sheet metal, then armoured. Twig can be destroyed by hand, so upgrading at least to wood is not optional.

Collect Wood
Collect 100 Wood · 49.5% of players
~Minutes
Gather 100 wood.

Hit any tree with the rock you spawn with. 100 wood is only a handful of trees. Gathering in Rust scales with your tool. A rock works but is painfully slow; a stone hatchet (for trees) and a stone pickaxe (for ore nodes) roughly double your rate, and the metal versions roughly double it again. Hitting the glowing marker that appears on a node or tree after your first swing gives bonus yield, so watch for it and aim at it.

Hidden achievement.

Collect 700 Wood
Collect 700 Wood · 44.1% of players
~Under an hour
Gather 700 wood total.

Cumulative across the whole life of your Steam account, not a single session, so it unlocks naturally while you build. Craft a stone hatchet first — it makes this far quicker than the starting rock.

First Notes
Play your first instrument · 43.3% of players
~Under an hour
Play your first instrument.

Instruments in Rust are real playable items — you equip one and use the keyboard to play notes. The cheapest to obtain is usually a wooden instrument found in barrels or bought at a vending machine. Equip it and hit any note key.

Collect 200 Stone
Collect 200 Stone · 42.0% of players
~Minutes
Gather 200 stone.

Stone comes from the grey boulder nodes scattered across the terrain, and from smaller loose stones lying on the ground that you can pick up by hand. A stone pickaxe is the right tool for nodes.

Collect 30 Cloth
Collect 30 Cloth · 38.2% of players
~Minutes
Gather 30 cloth.

Cloth comes from hemp plants — the tall green bushes with the distinctive leaves that grow all over the map. Harvest them by hand or with a tool. Cloth is also dropped when you skin animals.

Craft Camp Fire
Craft a campfire · 36.0% of players
~Minutes
Craft a campfire.

A default blueprint costing wood. The campfire cooks meat, provides warmth and light, and is one of the first things to place inside a starter base.

Craft Stone Hatchet
Craft a Stone Hatchet · 36.0% of players
~Minutes
Craft a stone hatchet.

Available from the crafting menu (TAB) from the moment you spawn — it needs only wood and stone. This is almost always the first thing you should make, since it roughly doubles your wood gathering over a bare rock.

Craft Spear
Craft a wooden spear · 35.6% of players
~Minutes
Craft a wooden spear.

The wooden spear is a default blueprint costing only wood. It is your first real weapon and also a serviceable early hunting tool. The stone spear upgrade costs a little stone and hits harder.

Equip Clothing
Equip 3 pieces of clothing · 35.6% of players
~Minutes
Wear 3 pieces of clothing.

Any three items in clothing slots count — burlap pieces, a hoodie or trousers from a barrel, even a hat. Clothing gives both damage protection and cold protection, so this is a natural early step rather than a detour.

Kill an Animal
Kill an Animal · 35.0% of players
~Minutes
Kill any animal.

Chickens and boars are the easiest targets — they are common and barely fight back. A rock works, though a wooden spear is faster and safer. Bears and wolves will kill an unarmoured player, so start small.

Craft Hammer
Craft a Hammer · 34.7% of players
~Minutes
Craft a hammer.

The hammer is a default craft needing a small amount of wood. It is the tool you use to upgrade, rotate and repair building blocks, so you cannot build seriously without one.

Place Camp Fire
Place a camp fire · 34.6% of players
~Minutes
Place a campfire in the world.

Craft it, then equip the campfire from your inventory and place it on any flat surface or floor. Placing it inside your base is safer, since an open fire is a beacon at night.

Craft Stone Pickaxe
Craft a Stone Pickaxe · 34.5% of players
~Minutes
Craft a stone pickaxe.

Crafted from wood and stone in the default crafting menu. The pickaxe is the ore-node counterpart to the hatchet — always carry both.

Craft Building Plan
Craft a Building Plan · 34.4% of players
~Minutes
Craft a building plan.

The building plan is a default blueprint that costs wood. Equip it, and you get the ghost placement overlay for foundations, walls, doorways and floors. Together with the hammer it is the whole building toolkit.

Place Sleeping Bag
Place a sleeping bag · 33.0% of players
~Minutes
Place a sleeping bag.

Place it inside your base, ideally in a locked room. When you die you can respawn on it instead of on a random beach, which is what keeps a wipe from restarting every time you get killed.

Collect 50 Cloth
Collect 50 Cloth · 32.6% of players
~Minutes
Gather 50 cloth total.

Same source as the 30 cloth achievement: hemp bushes, plus animal corpses. Cloth is consumed constantly by clothing, sleeping bags and arrows, so keep picking hemp whenever you pass it.

Craft Sleeping Bag
Craft a Sleeping Bag · 32.2% of players
~Minutes
Craft a sleeping bag.

The sleeping bag costs cloth, which you get from hemp bushes. It is the single most important early item because it sets your respawn point.

Skin an Animal
Skin an Animal · 30.1% of players
~Minutes
Harvest an animal corpse.

After killing an animal, hold your tool and hit the corpse to harvest it. You get meat, animal fat, cloth, bone fragments and leather. A hatchet or knife harvests corpses much better than a rock.

Craft Arrows
Craft some Arrows · 29.1% of players
~Minutes
Craft arrows.

Arrows are a default blueprint made from wood and stone. They are crafted in batches, so a single craft will pop this.

Craft Lock
Craft a lock · 27.7% of players
~Minutes
Craft a lock.

The wooden lock is a cheap default craft. The code lock is the better option once you can afford it, since it lets you share access with a code rather than a key.

Place Wooden Box
Place a Wooden Box · 27.7% of players
~Minutes
Place a storage box.

Place it inside your base, then lock it. Boxes placed outside building privilege can be looted by anyone.

Lock the Lock
Lock the Lock · 27.6% of players
~Minutes
Lock a placed lock.

After placing a lock, interact with it to lock it. For a wooden lock you will be given a key; for a code lock you set a four-digit code. This is the step people forget — a placed but unlocked lock still lets anyone through.

Craft Wooden Box
Craft a Wooden Box · 27.5% of players
~Minutes
Craft a wooden storage box.

A default wood craft. Your inventory is small and you drop everything on death, so storage is essential from the first hour.

Place Lock
Place a Lock · 27.1% of players
~Minutes
Attach a lock to a door.

Equip the lock and place it on a door or box you own. Until you do, anyone who wanders past can walk straight in.

Craft Tool Cupboard
Craft a Tool Cupboard · 26.6% of players
~Under an hour
Craft a tool cupboard.

The tool cupboard costs a meaningful amount of wood, so gather first. It is the single most important structure in the game.

Craft Wooden Door
Craft a Wooden Door · 26.1% of players
~Minutes
Craft a wooden door.

Wooden doors cost wood and are a default blueprint. Every doorway you build needs one, or your base is simply an open shell.

Craft Hunting Bow
Craft a Hunting Bow · 26.1% of players
~Minutes
Craft a hunting bow.

A default blueprint costing wood and cloth. The bow is your first ranged weapon and is genuinely dangerous against unarmoured players at close range.

Place Tool Cupboard
Place a tool Cupboard · 25.8% of players
~Under an hour
Place a tool cupboard.

Place it inside your base and authorise yourself on it. The cupboard claims building privilege over the area — without it, anyone can build on and into your base — and it holds the upkeep resources that stop your structure decaying.

Place Wooden Door
Place a Wooden Door · 25.5% of players
~Minutes
Place a wooden door in a doorway.

Build a doorway frame with your building plan, then equip the door and place it into the frame. Follow it immediately with a lock — an unlocked door protects nothing.

Craft Burlap Pants
Craft Burlap Pants · 22.2% of players
~Minutes
Craft burlap pants.

Another default cloth craft. The full burlap set gives you basic protection and warmth from nothing but hemp.

Craft Burlap Shirt
Craft a Burlap Shirt · 21.9% of players
~Minutes
Craft a burlap shirt.

Burlap clothing is a default blueprint costing cloth. Harvest hemp until you have enough and craft it from the menu.

Place a Furnace
Place a Furnace · 20.8% of players
~Under an hour
Place a furnace.

Place it inside your base, load it with wood as fuel and ore as input, then turn it on. It smelts metal ore into metal fragments and sulfur ore into sulfur. Keep it indoors: the light and smoke are visible at range.

Craft Burlap Headwrap
Craft a Burlap Headwrap · 19.9% of players
~Minutes
Craft a burlap headwrap.

Cloth-only default craft. Head protection matters disproportionately in Rust, so even the cheapest headwear is worth wearing.

Craft a Furnace
Craft a Furnace · 19.1% of players
~Under an hour
Craft a furnace.

The furnace costs stone and low grade fuel. It is the gateway to metal — ore is useless until it is smelted.

Place a Workbench
Place a Workbench · 18.8% of players
~1-2 hours
Place a workbench.

Place it inside your base. You must be standing within its radius to craft anything gated behind that tier, so put it somewhere you can actually stand safely.

Research an Item
Research an Item · 17.9% of players
~1-2 hours
Research an item at a research table.

Put the item you want to learn into the research table along with the required scrap, then start the research. The item is consumed. Prioritise things you will craft repeatedly rather than one-off finds.

Craft a Workbench
Craft a Workbench · 17.3% of players
~1-2 hours
Craft a workbench.

Workbenches are tiered. The tier 1 bench costs wood, metal fragments and scrap, and unlocks the first band of craftable items. Higher tiers cost significantly more scrap and gate the better weapons and tools.

Place a Research Table
Place a Research Table · 15.6% of players
~1-2 hours
Place a research table.

Place it in your base next to your storage. Feeding it an item plus scrap teaches you the blueprint permanently for the wipe, so you can craft that item yourself from then on.

Craft a Machete
Craft a Machete · 14.6% of players
~1-2 hours
Craft a machete.

The machete is not a default blueprint — you generally need to find one and research it, or unlock it from the tech tree at a workbench. It is a solid melee weapon and a decent harvesting tool.

Craft Nailgun Nails
Craft Nailgun Nails · 14.3% of players
~2-4 hours
Craft ammunition for the nailgun.

Nails are the nailgun's ammunition and are crafted separately once you have the blueprint. Craft a batch at the same time you craft the gun itself, since an unloaded weapon is a paperweight.

Craft a Research Table
Craft a Research Table · 14.0% of players
~1-2 hours
Craft a research table.

The research table costs scrap, wood and metal fragments. It is how you convert a looted item into a permanent blueprint.

Craft a Nailgun
Craft a Nailgun · 12.2% of players
~2-4 hours
Craft a nailgun.

The nailgun is a low-tier improvised firearm that needs to be unlocked first, either by researching a found one or through the workbench tech tree. Crafting requires the appropriate workbench tier to be nearby.

I should buy this Soundtrack
Listen to the Rust soundtrack from a Boom Box for 30 seconds · 4.0% of players
~Under an hour
Listen to the Rust soundtrack from a Boom Box for 30 seconds.

Get a Boom Box (they are sold at Outpost, and drop from crates), place or hold it, and tune it to the station that plays the game's own soundtrack. Stand near it for a full 30 seconds without switching stations.

Big Brother
Watch another player through a CCTV camera · 3.8% of players
~Varies
Watch another player through a CCTV camera.

You need a computer station and the identifier of a CCTV camera that is currently viewing a player. Camera identifiers exist at several monuments and are also shared publicly by the community each wipe. Add the identifier to your computer station, connect, and wait until a player walks into frame.

Buckle Up
Start a fully repaired car with a full set of T3 engine parts · 3.0% of players
~Several hours
Start a fully repaired car with a full set of T3 engine parts.

You need a modular car in good condition and a complete set of the highest-tier engine components installed in its engine module. Engine parts come from monument loot and vending machines; the tier 3 versions are the rarest. Repair the car at a vehicle lift, fit the parts, then start the engine.

Friendly Neighbour
Wave at 5 different players · 2.9% of players
~Varies
Wave at 5 different players.

Use the wave gesture at five distinct players. Safe zones are again the answer — Outpost and Bandit Camp are full of people who will not kill you for approaching. On a busy server this takes a few minutes.

Paparazzi
Take a photo of another player · 2.0% of players
~Varies
Take a photo of another player.

You need a camera item, then photograph another player. The easiest place to find a willing target is a safe zone like Outpost or Bandit Camp, where nobody can shoot you while you line up the shot.

Bad Neighbour
Use a megaphone while in another player's Tool Cupboard radius. · 1.6% of players
~Varies
Use a megaphone while inside another player's Tool Cupboard radius.

You need a megaphone, then you have to be standing inside the building privilege radius of a tool cupboard that belongs to someone else. Any base that is not yours works, so the practical approach is to walk up to a neighbour's base, get inside their cupboard radius (you will see the building-blocked message when you try to place), and use the megaphone. Do not linger - you are shouting your position at the owner.

Thread the Needle
Land a Minicopter on the Cargo Ship · 1.6% of players
~Varies
Land a Minicopter on the Cargo Ship.

Cargo Ship only spawns on a timer and is a hot PvP zone. You need a fuelled minicopter and enough flying skill to set down on a moving deck. Approach from behind and match the ship's speed rather than trying to hover over it. Practise landing on stationary rooftops first.

Mission Accomplished
Complete 5 missions for NPC's · 1.6% of players
~1-2 hours
Complete 5 missions for NPC's.

Mission-giving NPCs stand at Outpost, Bandit Camp and the fishing villages. Talk to them, accept a mission, and follow the objective marker. Most early missions are simple fetch or delivery tasks, and they are repeatable, so five is a short session's work.

Battle Bus
Drive a modular car with 4 passengers · 1.6% of players
~Varies
Drive a modular car with 4 passengers.

You need a car built with enough seating modules and four other players willing to ride along. Clan mates or a friendly group make this trivial; solo it is essentially impossible.

Arctic Speed
Acquire a snowmobile in an Arctic Research Base · 1.6% of players
~1-2 hours
Acquire a snowmobile in an Arctic Research Base.

The Arctic Research Base is a snow-biome monument. Snowmobiles are found there. Dress for the cold — hypothermia will kill you faster than any player in that biome — and bring a way to get the vehicle moving once you have it.

Musical Maestro
Play every instrument · 1.3% of players
~Several hours
Play every instrument in the game.

You need to obtain and play each instrument at least once. Vending machines at Outpost and Bandit Camp sell several of them for scrap, which is far more reliable than hoping barrels drop the ones you are missing. Steam's own description is the only authoritative list of what counts — work through the instruments you can buy first, then hunt the rest.

Soaked
Soak another player above the damage threshold using a water gun. · 1.1% of players
~Varies
Soak another player above the damage threshold using a water gun.

You need a water gun or super soaker filled with water, and you must land enough on a single player to cross the game's damage threshold. Water weapons do not work in safe zones for damage purposes, so arrange this with a friend outside one.

On the Record
Record another player speaking onto a Cassette. · 1.1% of players
~Varies
Record another player speaking onto a Cassette.

You need a cassette recorder and a blank cassette, both obtainable from monument loot or vending machines. Approach a player who is talking in proximity voice chat and record them. A safe zone or a friendly group is the practical way to do it.

Heavy Industry
Activate the Excavator · 1.1% of players
~1-2 hours
Activate the Excavator.

The Giant Excavator Pit is its own monument. You need diesel fuel, which drops from monument crates and is sold by NPC vendors. Put the diesel in the excavator's engine room fuel slot and start it, then choose an ore type at the control room. It is a loud, obvious monument, so expect company.

Cool Kids Club
Be in a team where every team member is riding a Boogie Board or Inner Tube (minimum 4 members) · 1.0% of players
~Varies
Be in a team where every team member is riding a Boogie Board or Inner Tube (minimum 4 members).

Every member of your team, at least four of you, must be on a boogie board or inner tube at the same time. Both items are cheap and often sold at Outpost, so the difficulty is purely coordination — get four people together at the water's edge and mount up simultaneously.

Liquidator
Get a kill using a water gun. · 0.9% of players
~Varies
Get a kill using a water gun.

Water weapons deal very little damage, so a kill realistically means finishing off a player who is already nearly dead, or a cooperative attempt with someone who is happy to die to it. Bring a full water container to refill from.

Like Nobody's Watching
Dance near a playing Boom Box on an active Disco Floor. · 0.9% of players
~Varies
Dance near a playing Boom Box on an active Disco Floor.

You need a disco floor deployable that is powered and running, plus a Boom Box playing nearby. Set both up in your own base with a generator or battery so you control the conditions, then use a dance gesture next to them.

Radical
Splash another player with a Water Pistol while that player is irradiated · 0.7% of players
~Varies
Splash another player with a Water Pistol while that player is irradiated.

Two conditions at once: the target must be taking radiation damage, and you must hit them with a water pistol specifically. The practical approach is to arrange it with a partner in a radiated monument zone, with both of you carrying enough radiation protection to survive the attempt.

No Pressure
Get a kill with a super soaker pumped at the lowest pressure. · 0.7% of players
~Varies
Get a kill with a super soaker pumped at the lowest pressure.

The super soaker's damage scales with how much you have pumped it, so at minimum pressure it does almost nothing. In practice this needs a player at a sliver of health, or a cooperative partner. Do not pump the weapon at all before firing.

I can no longer see
Stare into a laser light for 30 seconds. · 0.7% of players
~Under an hour
Stare into a laser light for 30 seconds.

You need a laser light attachment or deployable laser and something to stare at it from. Point the beam at yourself or have a friend hold it, then look directly into it for a continuous 30 seconds without breaking line of sight.

Terror in the Deep
Travel to an underwater lab with a submarine · 0.7% of players
~1-2 hours
Travel to an underwater lab with a submarine.

Submarines are rented or bought at fishing villages for scrap. Take one out over deep water and dive to an underwater lab entrance — the labs are marked on the map. Watch your oxygen and your sub's health, and bring diving gear for the swim inside.

Rust Air
Pilot a Scrap Transport Helicopter with 5 passengers · 0.7% of players
~Varies
Pilot a Scrap Transport Helicopter with 5 passengers.

The scrap transport helicopter seats a pilot plus passengers and is bought from the airfield or built at a vehicle-capable monument. You need five other players aboard while you are flying it — a group achievement, best done with a clan or an organised community server event.

Party Boat
Dance with 2 other players at the front of the Cargo Ship. · 0.6% of players
~Varies
Dance with 2 other players at the front of the Cargo Ship.

Cargo Ship spawns periodically and is contested, so bring people you trust. Get three of you to the bow and use a dance gesture at the same time. Doing it early in the ship's cycle, before other players have boarded, is the safest window.

Full Collection
Play an instrument while floating in an Inner Tube while listening to a Boom Box play a radio stream · 0.6% of players
~Varies
Play an instrument while floating in an Inner Tube while listening to a Boom Box play a radio stream.

Three conditions stacked: you must be in an inner tube on water, holding and playing an instrument, with a Boom Box nearby tuned to a radio stream rather than sitting silent. Set it all up in shallow water near your own base so nothing drifts away, and confirm the Boom Box is actually playing a stream before you start.

On Track
Kill 10 Tunnel Dwellers while on a moving work cart · 0.6% of players
~1-2 hours
Kill 10 Tunnel Dwellers while on a moving work cart.

Tunnel Dwellers are the hostile NPCs in the underground train tunnels. You must be aboard a moving work cart while you kill them, which means driving and shooting at the same time. Bring a weapon with a large magazine and plenty of ammo, plus radiation protection for the tunnels.

It's Honest Work
Plant a different seed in every slot in a Large Planter Box · 0.5% of players
~1-2 hours
Plant a different seed in every slot in a Large Planter Box.

You need a large planter box and enough distinct seed types to fill every slot with a different plant. Seeds come from harvesting wild plants — hemp, berries, corn, pumpkin and the rest — so gather widely before you start planting. Fill every slot before checking, since a partial planter will not count.

Pro Angler
Catch one of every fish · 0.5% of players
~Several hours
Catch one of every fish.

You need a fishing rod and bait, both available at fishing villages. Different fish species favour different water — the game's fish list is what you are working through, and rarer species take many casts. Fish from a boat in deeper water rather than the shoreline for better variety, and keep a note of which species you have already landed.

~1-2 hours
Build your first boat.

This refers to the game's buildable boat content rather than the rentable rowboats. Gather the required materials and construct it at the appropriate location. The exact recipe and build site have changed with updates, so check the in-game crafting menu for what your current version needs.

New Horizons
Enter the Deep Sea · 0.5% of players
~1-2 hours
Enter the Deep Sea.

The deep sea is the far-out ocean region beyond the coastal shallows. Take a seaworthy boat and head away from land until you cross into it. Bring fuel for the return trip — running dry in open water is a slow, unpleasant way to lose a boat.

Need more fibre
Eat 10 coconuts · 0.4% of players
~Under an hour
Eat 10 coconuts.

Coconuts come from the tropical island content. Find palm trees, gather coconuts and eat ten of them. They are a food item, so this is purely a matter of finding enough — bring a container so you can carry a stack back rather than eating on the spot.

Safe Harbor
Reach a Floating City · 0.4% of players
~1-2 hours
Reach a Floating City.

Floating cities are ocean structures out in the deep water. Sail out from the coast with a boat that has enough fuel and durability for a long trip. Check your in-game map for where the ocean structures sit on your server's map, since the layout varies per map seed.

Oceans are now battlefields
Hit another boat with a cannon · 0.3% of players
~Varies
Hit another boat with a cannon.

You need a boat fitted with a cannon and cannonballs, and another boat to hit. Cannon shots travel slowly and arc, so lead your target generously. Arranging this with a friend and a spare boat is far more reliable than waiting for an ocean encounter.

High Roller
Win 3 rounds of poker at Bandit Camp · 0.2% of players
~Varies
Win 3 rounds of poker at Bandit Camp.

Bandit Camp has poker tables in the gambling building. It is a safe zone, so nobody can shoot you while you play. Bring scrap to buy in with — you are playing real Texas hold'em against other players, so three wins can take a while depending on the table.

Death from Above
Kill another player with the MLRS · 0.2% of players
~Varies
Kill another player with the MLRS.

The MLRS is a heavy rocket vehicle that needs both the launcher and MLRS rockets, plus an aiming module. It is expensive and extremely loud. Realistically this happens when you shell a base you know is occupied, or when a group sets it up deliberately against a friend.

Tropical islands are offshore land masses that carry their own loot. Get there by boat, then open five containers. Sweep a whole island rather than island-hopping — five containers is usually one thorough pass.

Apex Predator
Kill 3 sharks with a speargun · 0.1% of players

Kill 3 sharks with a speargun.

Sharks spawn in deep water and around underwater content. You need a speargun specifically — no other weapon counts. Bring diving gear for oxygen, spare spears, and ideally a boat to retreat to, since fighting a shark while low on air goes badly quickly.

Travel 3KM with a companion in a Kayak.

Kayaks are two-seaters. You and another player need to cover three kilometres together in one, so pick a long coastline route and paddle it. Hugging the shore is safer than open water and the distance still counts.

Waste Not, Want Not
Recycle 10 cars at Junkyard · 0.1% of players

Recycle 10 cars at Junkyard.

The Junkyard monument has a car crusher. Drive or drag ten cars into it and crush them. Junk cars spawn around the roads and at the Junkyard itself, so you rarely need to sacrifice a car you actually built. It is a radiated monument, so wear protection.

Hostile Waters
Start opening a locked crate on a Ghost Ship · 0.1% of players

Start opening a locked crate on a Ghost Ship.

Ghost ships are ocean encounters carrying a locked crate. You only need to begin the unlock timer, not survive it — though surviving is how you actually get the loot. Bring a boat, and be aware the timer is loud and draws other players.

Stolen Goods
Kill a player with a weapon on a stolen PT boat · 0.0% of players

Kill a player with a weapon on a stolen PT boat.

Two parts: the boat has to be one you took rather than one you own, and the kill has to come from a weapon mounted on it. This is opportunistic PvP — find an unattended PT boat, take it, and use its armament. Expect the original owner to come looking.
