Liberation is the core loop — destroy a settlement's government property (marked red) to free it. Thirteen comes quickly as you push across the first island. Tether-and-detonate speeds up each one.
Chaos accrues from destroying red government property — statues, billboards, fuel tanks, generators, chained SAM sites, police vehicles. Just play the liberation game and cause mayhem; tethering objects together and detonating fuel depots racks up Chaos fast. It is cumulative, so you will likely hit a million during normal play.
Gear MODs are unlocked by earning gears in Challenges — each Challenge type feeds a MOD category (e.g., wingsuit MODs from wingsuit challenges). Focus one category's challenges until all its MODs unlock.
Grapple-tether an enemy soldier to a gas canister/cylinder, then shoot the canister so it rockets off with the poor guy attached. Fuel depots and bases have plenty of canisters.
Requires the Sky Fortress DLC's Bavarium Wingsuit. From the water's surface, boost the powered wingsuit to launch into the air. Just skim a lake or the sea and thrust upward.
The peak of Mount Serpico (the tall central volcano). Wingsuit and grapple your way up, or use a helicopter to get close, then stand on the very summit on foot. A quick trip with the wingsuit.
Play through the Sky Fortress expansion's story to its finale and finish its objectives. It adds the Bavarium Wingsuit and the eDEN Spark weapon — strong tools for the rest of the game.
Detention Camps are a specific liberation target — free three of them by destroying their government infrastructure. They are marked on the map as you explore each region.
Finish the Bavarium Sea Heist expansion's storyline, which adds the Rocket Boat (The Loochador). Complete its missions to the end.
Complete the Mech Land Assault expansion's campaign, which unlocks the rideable Bavarium mech with its Force Pulse. Finish its story and challenges.
Just get a 3-gear score on one of each Challenge category. Much easier than All the Gears — pick the friendliest challenge in each type and clear the mid tier.
Pick a smaller military base, drive/ram in, and destroy every red Chaos Object while staying in your vehicle the whole time. Use a tank or armed vehicle, or tether-detonate from the driver's seat. Do not step out until it is clear.
Once you have unlocked MODs, toggle each one on in the menu and play for a minute so it registers, cycling through all of them. A quick cleanup task after you have earned the MODs.
Ancient Tombs are small shrine sites across Medici — visit each and hold the interact prompt. Liberating provinces marks them; a wingsuit makes the hop between them quick.
Di Ravello's audio tapes are hidden across the islands (often at military bases and remote spots). Collect every one to hear the dictator's backstory. They show on the map after you liberate the surrounding area.
Rebel Shrines are memorial spots dotted around Medici — interact at each to light a candle. Sweep them alongside the other collectibles once provinces are liberated.
Daredevil Jumps are ramp locations — drive a land vehicle off each one to register it. Bring a fast car or bike, and use rebel drops to spawn a vehicle right at remote jumps. Marked on the map per province.
Everything: liberate all of Medici, complete every story and side mission, ace all Challenges (5 gears each), find every collectible, and unlock the full Rebel Drop. The Challenges (especially wingsuit courses) and the collectible sweeps are the biggest time sinks — do liberation naturally, then dedicate sessions to gearing every Challenge and mopping collectibles with a map.
Medici is stuffed with collectibles: Ancient Tombs, Di Ravello Tapes, Vintage Parts, Rebel Shrines, and Daredevil Jumps. Liberating settlements reveals nearby collectibles on the map, so liberate first, then use the map markers to sweep each province. A collectible checklist saves the last hard-to-spot few.
Feats are stunt objectives (e.g., specific tether/parachute/wingsuit tricks). Work through the Feats list deliberately — many are one-off trick shots. Some are easy to overlook, so check the Feats menu and knock out the remaining ones.
Clear a base's Chaos Objects using only your grapple tethers, environmental explosives (fuel tanks chain-reacting), and rammed vehicles — no gun or launcher fire. Tether objects together and let fuel depots do the work.
Max out (5 gears) on every Challenge in the base game — Wingsuit courses, Bomb Runs, Destruction Frenzy, races. Wingsuit/grapple courses are the hardest: learn the line, use grapple-boosts to keep speed, and retry for the top score. This is the main wall for 100%.
