South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ — Achievement Walkthrough
50 achievement guides · Full game page → · 🗺️ Full 100% walkthrough ↓
A turn-based RPG with 50 achievements. Most of the hard ones are permanently missable, either through collectibles locked inside story missions or through boss-fight conditions you have to set up in advance. Everything fits into one careful playthrough, and the game lets you keep playing after the credits to finish the counters and collections.
1. Before you start: settings that lock in for the whole run · 1 achievement
Three achievements are decided at character creation or run the entire game, so set them up now.
- ⚠️ Missable — Pick the Jew class when the game asks for your class. 'Are We Cool?' only pops if you complete Father Maxi's Find Jesus side quest as a Jew, and the class can't be changed later. You'll finish the quest further down the line; this step is only the setup.
- ⚠️ Missable — Ground rules for the whole run: never sell anything until the end credits roll (For the Hoarder), and never let a battle end with your buddy knocked out (No Child Left Behind). Keep revive items stocked, save often, and reload if a fight finishes with your buddy down. Both achievements are only checked at the end, so they're listed with the final battle.
- ⚠️ Missable — Collector rule: about half the costume and weapon pieces and six or more Chinpokomon are only available during story missions. Open every chest, bag and drawer and loot every knocked-out enemy as you go. If you miss one, Clothes Whore, Full Arsenal, Chinpokolypse and More Popular Than John Lennon are all gone (the Chinpokomon company friend request comes from collecting all 30).
- ⚠️ Missable — When Cartman asks your name, the box already says 'Douchebag'. Don't change it. Confirm it, then say yes again when he double-checks. Saying no at either prompt loses this achievement.
2. Day 1: Kupa Keep and the Tower of Peace · 5 achievements
The opening area has a friend you can only add right now, plus an early Chinpokomon.
- ⚠️ Missable — Talk to Clyde as soon as you reach Kupa Keep (Cartman's backyard) and accept his friend request straight away. He leaves the story soon after, and every source agrees this is your only chance. Without him, More Popular Than John Lennon is impossible.
- Loot every Chinpokomon you come across, starting now. Your 5th unlocks Poco Chinpoko and your 15th unlocks Chinpoko loco. Early ones that are easy to grab: Monkay (Butters' bedroom), Pengin (Cartman's garage, the key is inside Cartman's house) and Chu-chu Nezumi (in a tree near the Stotch house).
- ⚠️ Missable — Tower of Peace (Mr. Kim's quest): Lambtron hangs in a cage inside. Shoot the cage down. Also loot the Mongolian Bow from one of the Mongolian kids. One guide lists both as missable, so grab them on this visit.
- Cartman's house: the Evil Cartman Goatee is in the first drawer by the front door. Take it now, because you'll need it for Heisenberg very soon. Cartman's garage key is in the same room, next to the couch (this counts toward Parkeologist).
- Free any time from now on: fart on people 100 times (you can repeat stationary NPCs) and on animals 25 times (Cartman's cat, the City Hall cat and rats all count, and you can repeat the same animal). You'll pick these up naturally, so there's no need to grind them yet.
- A toilet at home lets you make a 'Shit Nugget' through a button-mash minigame. Throw it at an enemy in any later fight.
3. Day 1: Call the Banners (Token, Tweek, Craig) · 3 achievements
The first recruitment missions hold three one-time achievements: Heisenberg, Day Walker and Gingivitis.
- ⚠️ Missable — Before you go to Kenny's garage for Tweek's delivery, get the Bald Cap from the Park County Police Station. Climb through the upstairs vent to the locker room, take the cell key from the lockers, and open Romper Stomper's cell. The cap is in a bag inside. (Romper Stomper also becomes a friend here.) Equip the Bald Cap and the Evil Cartman Goatee, then beat the Meth Tweekers in Kenny's garage. This is a one-time fight.
- Tweek Bros. Coffee: buy a Speed Potion Ultra to unlock Mr. and Mrs. Tweak as friends.
- ⚠️ Missable — Detention at South Park Elementary (rescuing Craig): loot the hall monitors. One drops Ginger Freckles. Equip them before the Boss Hall Monitor and win the fight while wearing them. One player reports that picking freckles at character creation also counts, but the looted item is the reliable route.
- ⚠️ Missable — In the same detention run, let ginger hall monitors use their bite on you three times without blocking. You get one more chance during Attack the School on Day 2, and after that the achievement is gone.
- ⚠️ Missable — Detention loot you can't get later: Poodlesaurus Rex is in a loose ceiling vent in the first hallway (shoot it), the Dodge Ball drops from the hall monitor carrying the Brass Key, and the Mace of Restoration is in a hallway locker opened with the key the Boss Hall Monitor drops.
4. Day 1: The Bard (the Giggling Donkey) · 4 achievements
Jimmy's house has a missable Chinpokomon and missable gear, plus an easy Dragon Wrath setup.
- ⚠️ Missable — Upstairs, in the drawer in the hall between two doors, is Jimmy's garage key (one of the four locked garages). Sources disagree on whether you can come back for it later, so take it now.
- ⚠️ Missable — Attic: Roidrat sits in the middle of the floor. Grab it, because it can't be collected later. Also loot the Wood Elf Gloves from an elf in the attic and the Elvish Shortbow from an elf (one source says basement, another says the attic area). Both are missable.
- Also in the attic, two rats (one patrolling) and an elf gather near a hanging lantern. Wait until all three are bunched beside it, then set off the lantern with Cup-A-Spell from below to knock out three enemies outside battle. If this doesn't work, Attack the School offers another setup. Fart on knocked-out enemies whenever you can: ten of them gets Stay Down.
- ⚠️ Missable — Boss: The Bard (Jimmy). Don't block his Brown Note. It makes your character soil himself mid-boss fight, which counts. Afterwards, loot the Crutch of Weakness from Jimmy and open the chest to the left for the Wood Elf Cap (both missable). Winning the fight inducts you into the group.
- Overfilling your mana bar (eating mana food or potions when it's already full, or taking the Brown Note) counts as soiling yourself. Do it in three separate battles. The Bard fight can be the first.
5. Day 1 night: Alien Abduction · 1 achievement
The UFO holds a whole missable costume set and Beetlebot.
- ⚠️ Missable — Loot every purple container and alien: the Alien Helmet is in the container behind Randy's table, the Alien Suit is in the container left of the elevator, the Alien Gloves drop from the officer alien in the room beside the elevator, and the Alien Ray Gun comes from the first aliens past the force field (fight them, don't sneak past). The Alien Probe is in the container by the white-crystal elevator. After the force fields drop, go down the newly opened ladder in the centre room, beat the homeless man and loot the Tinfoil Hat.
- ⚠️ Missable — After you ride the white-crystal elevator, Beetlebot is sitting on the monitors to your right. Shoot it down. It's missable.
- Finish the abduction and wake up on Day 2.
6. Day 2: Gain New Allies (Goths) and the government facility · 1 achievement
Randy's 'Taco Bell' facility has a missable Chinpokomon and the SWAT set, and opens a time-limited friend quest.
- ⚠️ Missable — Inside the facility, in the room with the voice recorder, Gunrilla sits on the filing cabinets to the left. Shoot it down. Use the alien teleporter to reach the roof, where a chest holds the Stone Hammer. After the Nazi Zombie fight, loot the dead SWAT soldiers for the Armored Headgear, Vest and Tactical Gloves. All of these are missable.
- ⚠️ Missable — Do Sergeant Yates' 'Nazi Zombie Bounty' quest at the police station now. It opens after the facility and closes once you go to Clyde's fortress. He's a required friend for More Popular Than John Lennon.
- Kelly Rutherford appears at the bus stop next to your house once you have 20 friends, so check back there as your friend count grows.
- Finish the goth makeover (6th-grader cigarettes by the dumpster near Jimbo's Guns, wig/eyeliner/clothes from the homeless vendor by the storage units, Dark Roast from Tweek Bros.) and the community-center photo step to win over the Goths.
- Once Kyle's house opens to you, the garage key is in the far-right drawer of his parents' bedroom upstairs. Butters' key is in his parents' bedroom too.
7. Day 2: Attack the School · 2 achievements
The busiest missable section of the game. Save before you enter and loot everything.
- ⚠️ Missable — Cafeteria kitchen: turn on the stove, then blow it up with Cup-A-Spell to reveal Donkeytron. A cabinet behind the far-right counter holds Chef's Old PO Box Key. Loot the elf lying against the right-hand wall for the Basketball, and loot the elves past the barricade for the Necromancer Gloves. All missable.
- ⚠️ Missable — Basement: the gingers drop the Necromancer Robes. Your last chance at Gingivitis is here too: let three ginger bites land without blocking if you still need it (Gingivitis is listed under Day 1).
- ⚠️ Missable — Upstairs: the kids you fight after Stan/Butters drop the Necromancer Hood. Open the locker next to Token for Pterdaken. Outside the boys' toilets, help Bill and Fosse win their fight to friend both. All missable.
- Backup Dragon Wrath setup: in the hallway with two groups of kids, use the vent and the Alien Probe to get above the second group. Lure all three to the barricade with Sneaky Squeaker, then ignite both torches on it with Cup-A-Spell.
- ⚠️ Missable — Before the final room, go into the 5th-grade classroom on the right first and talk to Lemmiwinks. He's a missable friend. In the 4th-grade room, a chest on the left side holds your class item (Laser Sword, Star Wand, Sword Breaker or Sica Dagger of the Faithful). It's missable.
- ⚠️ Missable — MAKE A MANUAL SAVE before you choose who to fight. Fight Kyle for KKK Hero, then reload the save and fight Cartman for Elven Hero. Whichever fight you do second decides your side for the rest of the game. If you talked to Lemmiwinks after that save, talk to him again after reloading.
8. Day 2 night: Defeat the Underpants Gnomes · 2 achievements
A short shrunken-down sequence with a missable costume set and the Perverted achievement.
- ⚠️ Missable — Loot the first gnomes you beat for the Gnome Gloves. Climb the first wires and go right to a yellow bag with the Gnome Helmet and Super Bouncy Ball. After the cutscene, dodge the sparking circuits to a bag with the Gnome Clothes. After the three rats, a bag before the power outlet holds the Gnome Pickaxe. All missable.
- ⚠️ Missable — When you come out at your parents' bedroom, leave your character standing there, facing them, for a full 60 seconds. (Turn the volume down.)
- ⚠️ Missable — Fight the gnomes on top of your parents' dresser and loot the Underpants Hat (missable) before you drop to the floor. Gnomes and their channelled attacks are a good place to start Re-Buttal (see Anytime below).
- From now on you can shrink with Gnome Dust. Beat a dog in the Lost Forest, switch to gnome form, and fart on it. The junkyard dog from Jimbo's hunting quest also works, according to the wiki.
9. Day 3: Forging Alliances (Unplanned Parenthood and Canada) · 2 achievements
The girls' quest has a one-time fetus achievement, the only chance at the Canadian authority figure, and your Dire AIDS setup.
- Keep every piece of the girl makeover disguise the girls give you (dress, wig, make-up). You'll need to wear the whole outfit for the final boss.
- ⚠️ Missable — Unplanned Parenthood: the Poison Grenade is in a drawer in the hallway before Operating Room A. The Master Razor is in a yellow bag at the end of the under-floor vent route you take while shrunk in the records room. Near the turret, shoot the grenade in a fallen soldier's hand to blow open the wall, then shrink and follow the gap to Fetuswami. All missable.
- ⚠️ Missable — After you beat a Nazi Zombie fetus, fart on its corpse before you leave. The wiki says the fetus boss counts too.
- ⚠️ Missable — Canada: let the wild animals hit you until you contract Dire AIDS (a ribbon icon appears by your name). DON'T treat it at the Ottawa hospital. You need to still have it when you beat Princess Kenny.
- ⚠️ Missable — Caverns of Quebec: fart on the Minister of Montreal BEFORE you speak to him. Talking first locks you out of Truth to Power for good. Then befriend him.
- ⚠️ Missable — When you're told to kill the Bishop of Banff, spare him and take the dire pig testicles instead. That keeps his friend request. Killing him loses it.
- Truth to Power also needs Principal Victoria (Community Center), Father Maxi (the bench outside) and Mayor McDaniels (City Hall, where the desk blocks you, so reach her with Cup-A-Spell). They can be done any time, and the achievement pops once all four are done.
10. Before Clyde's fortress: final prep (point of no return for several items)
Several end-game achievements need setup that's impossible once 'Beat Up Clyde!' starts.
- ⚠️ Missable — Finish 'Mr. Slave's Package' so Mr. Slave is available as a summon. If you've already used him, visit his house again to refresh him.
- ⚠️ Missable — Buy the most expensive procedure (David Hasselhoff) at Tom's Rhinoplasty. Buying something here can also add Sharon Marsh as a friend, according to one guide.
- ⚠️ Missable — Check Dire AIDS is still active, the girl disguise is in your inventory, and Sergeant Yates' bounty is done. Make a SEPARATE save here that you never overwrite.
11. Day 3: Beat Up Clyde! (fortress and Mr. Slave) · 1 achievement
The last missable collectibles, two missable friends, and the summon-inside-Mr.-Slave gag.
- ⚠️ Missable — Fortress exterior: the yellow chest under the fireworks balcony has the Lawn Dart. The firework kids drop the Knight Gauntlets. A chest further along the walkway has the Knight Helmet. When Ike can't light the firework, fart on the lighter to help him and friend him. Teleport as high as you can to find Shoe. After beating Craig, the chest on the left has the Knight Armor. All missable.
- ⚠️ Missable — Inside Mr. Slave: answer the ringing phone immediately to friend Big Gay Al. Bacteria can knock you off it, so be quick. Beat the bacteria after the phone for the Vibroblade, scare the bats with the flashlight, and loot the chest ahead for the Condom Cap. Climbing Mr. Hat also friends him, according to a guide comment.
- ⚠️ Missable — In a normal (non-boss) fight inside Mr. Slave, use your Mr. Slave summon. Summons can't be used in boss battles.
12. Final battle: Princess Kenny · 6 achievements
Stack the end-game achievements in one fight, then keep playing after the credits.
- ⚠️ Missable — Before the final fight, equip the full girl disguise and confirm you still have the Hasselhoff face and Dire AIDS. Guides say all three count together. If any don't pop, reload your pre-fortress save and retry with fewer at once.
- Beat Princess Kenny and recover the Stick.
- ⚠️ Missable — If you sold nothing all game and no battle ever ended with your buddy knocked out, these unlock when the game is completed. Selling is fine once the credits have rolled.
🧹 Cleanup & anything you missed
- The game continues on the same save after the credits. Sell 300 junk items to any vendor. Junk piles up from drawers, so loot houses if you're short.
- Only after the credits (No Child Left Behind is already safe): put Kenny in your party and let him die in fights 10 times. His failed specials count. Keep some untouched side quests or unexplored sewer areas so you have enemies left to fight.
- Complete Father Maxi's 'Find Jesus' quest (Jew class required). He's on the bench near City Hall/the Police Station.
- Do the Underpants Gnome's quest (underpants in Cartman's mom's room, Stan's room, Stan's parents' room, Kyle's room and Kevin Stoley's room) for the gnome friend. Deep in the sewers, blast the boulder near the drumming crab person with the Nagasaki fart to friend the Crab People.
- Open all 14 garages, including the four locked ones (Cartman's, Butters', Jimmy's, Kyle's), using keys found inside each house. The jammed garage near Mr. Slave's house counts too. The storage-unit lockers don't count.
- Finish the remaining Chinpokomon (30 in total). Ones not tied to a story mission include Furrycat (trees near Kyle's house), Fatdactyl (theater ticket booth), Velocirapstar (Token's window), Vamporko and Mouse-Tik (around the Community Center basketball courts), Brocorri (Cup-A-Spell the iced lantern at the Tower of Peace), Rabbitech (police evidence room), Sna-kat (tree left of City Hall), Stegmata (Kyle's garage), Gophermon (Community Center men's room), Cosmonewt (UFO via the Stark's Pond teleporter), Terribovine (shrink behind the bench at Tweek Bros.), Ferasnarf (storage unit 221, key from 'Wasted Cache'), Roo-stor (unit 223, key in Butters' room), Flowerpotamus (Skeeter's shelf), Accountafish (Gazette building vent, key from the Post Office boxes), Gerbitoad and Biebersaurus (sewers). All 30 also gets the Chinpokomon company friend request.
- Hunt down remaining friends: Timmy (all Timmy Express spots), Lola at the Post Office (said to need 40 friends), every side-quest giver, the Lost Forest animals, and so on. Half of the roster unlocks the first achievement. Your dad sends a request once you're popular enough (one source says 50 friends). Everyone unlocks the last one.
- Buy every remaining weapon and costume piece from shops (you can sell duplicates afterwards, now that the credits are done). Half the costume sets unlocks the first achievement, every costume the second, and every weapon plus costume the third. Spending $500 total comes naturally (the Hasselhoff surgery alone is a big chunk).
- Fully upgrade any one New Kid ability.
- Anytime combat counters, which most players finish naturally: 100 perfect attacks, 100 blocks, block every enemy attack in one non-tutorial fight (pick an easy fight), and knock out 3 enemies in one fight while your buddy is down (revive the buddy before the fight ends if you're still chasing No Child Left Behind).
- With Cartman as your buddy, land 20 kills with his ass (Burning Cloud). Keep your own damage low so his attacks finish enemies.
- Interrupt five channelled enemy attacks with a fart. Recent Steam comments say only Dragonshout registers. Gnomes and Craig's clones channel often.
- Fart on all six buddies (Butters, Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Jimmy) while each is your active buddy. Kenny has to be in normal form, not as a Nazi Zombie.
- If you haven't finished them: 10 knocked-out enemies farted on in the world, 100 farts on people, 25 on animals, a thrown Shit Nugget, and three mana overloads.
How we checked this · 6 sources · 12 points not fully confirmed
Where our sources disagreed or we couldn't confirm a detail:
- Day Walker: one player reports that picking freckles at character creation satisfies the requirement. The looted Ginger Freckles item is the confirmed method.
- Parkeologist: the wiki says Jimmy's garage key is missable if you don't take it during The Bard, but another guide says you can go back for it. Take it during the mission to be safe.
- Lambtron and the Mongorian Bow: one guide lists them as missable (the Tower of Peace may become inaccessible), while others list Lambtron as collectible in free roam.
- Elvish Shortbow: sources disagree on whether it's in the Giggling Donkey basement or attic.
- Daddy Issues: the wiki says your dad sends his request at about 50 friends. We couldn't confirm the exact number.
- Lola (Post Office) said to need 40 friends and Kelly Rutherford 20. Thresholds from a single source.
- Face Hoff, Outpatient and Two Girls, One Stick are reported to unlock together in one final fight, but the disguise's make-up and the Hasselhoff face may conflict. Keep a save in case you need to do them on separate attempts.
- Re-Buttal: one recent Steam comment says only Dragonshout interruptions count. Not confirmed by the other sources.
- Dog Whistle: the wiki says the junkyard dog from Jimbo's quest also counts. Not cross-checked.
- Full Arsenal / Clothes Whore: we couldn't confirm whether pre-order or DLC pack items are required on the current Steam version. Sources only list in-game items.
- Shopaholic: the wiki gives a specific set count that we couldn't confirm, so the walkthrough just says 'half the costume sets'.
- Some Chinpokomon positions differ slightly between sources (Furrycat, Vamporko and Mouse-Tik around the basketball courts).

If you sold nothing all game and no battle ever ended with your buddy knocked out, these unlock when the game is completed. Selling is fine once the credits have rolled.

Only after the credits (No Child Left Behind is already safe): put Kenny in your party and let him die in fights 10 times. His failed specials count. Keep some untouched side quests or unexplored sewer areas so you have enemies left to fight.

Overfilling your mana bar (eating mana food or potions when it's already full, or taking the Brown Note) counts as soiling yourself. Do it in three separate battles. The Bard fight can be the first.

Before you go to Kenny's garage for Tweek's delivery, get the Bald Cap from the Park County Police Station.

Finish the remaining Chinpokomon (30 in total). Ones not tied to a story mission include Furrycat (trees near Kyle's house), Fatdactyl (theater ticket booth), Velocirapstar (Token's window), Vamporko and Mouse-Tik (around the Community Center basketball courts), Brocorri (Cup-A-Spell the iced lantern at the Tower of Peace), Rabbitech (police evidence room), Sna-kat (tree left of City Hall), Stegmata (Kyle's garage), Gophermon (Community Center men's room), Cosmonewt (UFO via the Stark's Pond teleporter), Terribovine (shrink behind the bench at Tweek Bros.), Ferasnarf (storage unit 221, key from 'Wasted Cache'), Roo-stor (unit 223, key in Butters' room), Flowerpotamus (Skeeter's shelf), Accountafish (Gazette building vent, key from the Post Office boxes), Gerbitoad and Biebersaurus (sewers). All 30 also gets the Chinpokomon company friend request.

Before the final fight, equip the full girl disguise and confirm you still have the Hasselhoff face and Dire AIDS. Guides say all three count together. If any don't pop, reload your pre-fortress save and retry with fewer at once.

From now on you can shrink with Gnome Dust. Beat a dog in the Lost Forest, switch to gnome form, and fart on it. The junkyard dog from Jimbo's hunting quest also works, according to the wiki.

Truth to Power also needs Principal Victoria (Community Center), Father Maxi (the bench outside) and Mayor McDaniels (City Hall, where the desk blocks you, so reach her with Cup-A-Spell). They can be done any time, and the achievement pops once all four are done.

Hunt down remaining friends: Timmy (all Timmy Express spots), Lola at the Post Office (said to need 40 friends), every side-quest giver, the Lost Forest animals, and so on. Half of the roster unlocks the first achievement. Your dad sends a request once you're popular enough (one source says 50 friends). Everyone unlocks the last one.

Buy every remaining weapon and costume piece from shops (you can sell duplicates afterwards, now that the credits are done). Half the costume sets unlocks the first achievement, every costume the second, and every weapon plus costume the third. Spending $500 total comes naturally (the Hasselhoff surgery alone is a big chunk).

Interrupt five channelled enemy attacks with a fart. Recent Steam comments say only Dragonshout registers. Gnomes and Craig's clones channel often.
