First area after the tutorial overworld. Solve all Lake puzzles. Key trick: redefine 'WATER IS SINK' to 'WATER IS PUSH' so you can shove water around.
Isolated island area introduces COG machinery. Rules around rotation + push direction get layered. Some of the trickiest mid-game puzzles.
Ruins puzzles teach KEY interactions. Many solutions require breaking the KEY IS rule and making BOX become the key, or vice versa.
Autumn-themed area. Falling LEAVES interact with new MOVE mechanic. Combo with WIND and shift mechanics from earlier areas.
Forest introduces SHIFT โ objects move on conveyor-like terrain. Manipulate TREE IS SHIFT to redirect movement. Multi-step rule chains.
Story-locked. After unlocking enough world-map progress, reach the final central area. Solve the ending puzzle.
Space puzzles. Rockets, planets, vacuum mechanics. Combine multiple ruleset shifts. Late-game complexity.
Most experimental area. Rules become recursive and self-referential. Solving requires changing BABA's identity entirely.
Hedge-maze puzzles. STOP rules create barriers that must be deconstructed. Path-finding through layered rule changes.
Orbs are bonus collectibles in select levels. Reach them via creative rule manipulation. Wiki has the orb locations + solution hints.
Lava-themed puzzles. HOT + MELT interactions kill BABA. Often you'll need to break IS HOT and replace with a safer property.
Mountain peak area. FLOAT + GROUND interactions create vertical puzzle layers. Manipulate gravity rules to climb.
Some levels have hidden 'B', 'A', 'B', 'A' letter objects. Find and reach them by manipulating rules. Spells BABA when collected in sequence.
Every standard-area level completed. Bonus levels not required for this. Final pre-secret achievement.
After beating BABA_END, additional secret content unlocks. Achievement on first secret-content interaction.
Change YOU IS BABA to YOU IS [other object]. Play the level as that object. Specific level rewards this transformation with the achievement.
