Paper Trail — Achievement Walkthrough

Story progress. Finish the opening Home chapter — the tutorial region that teaches the core fold mechanic (drag a page corner to overlap the front and back of the world). Unlocks automatically as you move on.

Story progress — reach the end of the Cave region and move on to the next area. Comes naturally by solving the region's fold puzzles.

Story progress — finish the Swamp region. Unlocks as you leave it for the next chapter.

Hidden achievement — the Steam schema shows no description. It is tied to a specific story moment or optional interaction rather than a region clear. If it does not unlock during a normal, thorough playthrough, check a community guide for the exact trigger.

Story progress — finish the Forest region.

Story progress — finish the Autumn region.

Story progress — finish the Ruins region.

Story progress — finish the Temple region.

Find all of the Cave region's hidden origami. Many sit behind an extra fold — line up two halves of the world so a hidden alcove connects, then walk in. Return to sweep any you skipped.

Collect all origami in the Swamp. As the name jokes, later puzzles fold the world in non-obvious ways, so check overlaps you passed the first time.

Story progress — finish the Ocean region.

Story progress — finish the City region. This is one of the later chapters as Paige nears the end of her journey.

Hidden achievement with no public description. Likely an optional interaction or side puzzle. Trigger not verified — see a community guide if it does not pop naturally.

Collect all origami in the Forest region.

Origami are the optional collectibles hidden in each region — small folded paper figures tucked behind fold layers and in side rooms. This unlocks once you have every origami in Home. If you missed one, revisit the area; the region map notes how many remain.

Collect all origami in the Autumn region.

Collect all origami in the Ruins region.

Hidden achievement — no description in the schema, and the name is a playful reference. The exact trigger is not verified; it is likely an optional interaction in one of the regions. Check a community guide if needed.

Collect all origami in the Temple region.

Collect all origami in the Ocean region.

Hidden achievement — no description given. The pun hints at an optional interaction (possibly with a cat), but the exact trigger is not verified. See a community guide if it does not appear naturally.

Unlocks once every region's origami set is complete — i.e. you have earned all nine per-area origami achievements. Use each region map to confirm none are missing before moving on, or clean up at the end. Pairs with the secrets and no-hints achievements toward 100%.

Complete a full playthrough without pressing the hint button on any puzzle. If you think you might need help, look up a solution externally rather than triggering the in-game hint, which voids this. Best paired with a run where you already know the solutions.

On a fresh save, complete the whole game in under four hours. Very achievable on a second playthrough when you already know the fold solutions; you can skip optional origami hunting to save time.

Discover every secret in the game. Secrets are separate from origami — hidden nooks and optional interactions revealed by folding. Explore each region thoroughly; combine with the origami hunt for an efficient completion pass.

The completion capstone — unlocks automatically once all other Paper Trail achievements are earned, including the full origami set, all secrets, the no-hints run and the under-4-hours run.
