Hidden story achievement — unlocks through campaign and case progression.

Hidden achievement — Steam withholds the description for this one, and it is tied to story or Haunting Case progression. We have not verified the exact trigger, so we will not guess at it: play the campaign and its side cases through and it will unlock in due course. If you want the specifics, check a community guide or add a community tip below.

Unlimited Power
Upgrade an item · 64.3% of players
~5 min
Upgrade any item once.

Steam description: _Upgrade an item_.

This is the tutorial-tier crafting achievement and it pops the first time you put resources into any piece of gear. Open your inventory, pick any weapon or trinket that shows an upgrade option, and spend the materials.

Do not overthink which item — a single upgrade on anything counts, and you will be upgrading constantly anyway on the way to A Perfect Tool and Bring it on!. Getting it out of the way early also teaches you the upgrade menu you will live in for the rest of the run.

Teamwork
Defeat at least 4 enemies with Red and at least 4 enemies with Antea in a single encounter · 44.5% of players
~10 min
Kill at least 4 enemies as Red and 4 as Antea in one fight.

Steam description: _Defeat at least 4 enemies with Red and at least 4 enemies with Antea in a single encounter_.

You need one encounter that contains at least eight enemies, and you need to split the kills evenly between your two characters — four finished off while controlling Red, four while controlling Antea.

The practical approach is to find a large group fight, then consciously swap characters after every fourth kill instead of letting one of them carry the whole encounter. Damage dealt by the other character does not matter; what counts is who lands the killing blow. Any crowded encounter with a decent enemy count works, so if a fight ends before you hit the split, just try again at the next big group.

Float like a Butterfly
Defeat 8 enemies in a single encounter without being hit · 43.1% of players
~20-40 min
Win a fight against 8 enemies without taking a single hit.

Steam description: _Defeat 8 enemies in a single encounter without being hit_.

This is the flagship skill achievement of the list: eight kills in one encounter, zero damage taken. One clipped hit and the attempt is dead.

The things that make it manageable are range and evasion. Fighting at rifle range, keeping enemies funnelled rather than surrounding you, and dodging on reaction rather than on instinct all reduce the number of chances the game gets to touch you. It also pairs naturally with a later, better-geared save — more damage per shot means fewer exchanges, and fewer exchanges means fewer opportunities to get hit.

If you keep failing at seven kills, reload and retry the same encounter rather than hunting for a new one; the enemy layout is consistent, so repetition is genuinely the fastest route.

Demolition Man
Destroy 300 destructibles · 34.6% of players
~Cumulative
Destroy 300 breakable objects.

Steam description: _Destroy 300 destructibles_.

A pure volume achievement. Barrels, crates, pots and other breakable scenery all count, and 300 sounds like a lot until you realise how much of it is scattered along every path in New Eden.

The only real advice is to stop walking past them. Swing at anything breakable you pass while exploring for collectibles, chests and treasure maps and this will finish on its own well before the credits. If you somehow reach the endgame short, any densely-decorated interior will let you top up quickly.

Outburst
Defeat 3 enemies with a single Outburst · 33.7% of players
~15 min
Kill 3 enemies with one Outburst.

Steam description: _Defeat 3 enemies with a single Outburst_.

You need three enemies to die to one use of the Outburst ability, which means grouping matters far more than raw damage.

The reliable setup is to soften a cluster of weaker enemies down to low health first, let them bunch up around you, and only then fire the Outburst so the area damage finishes all three at once. Trying it on healthy enemies or on a spread-out group is the usual reason attempts fail. Weaker trash mobs are much better candidates than elites.

A Perfect Tool
Upgrade an item at rank 7 (Relic) · 26.9% of players
~Late game
Take one item all the way to rank 7 (Relic).

Steam description: _Upgrade an item at rank 7 (Relic)_.

Relic is the top upgrade rank, so this is gated behind having enough high-tier materials rather than behind any skill check.

Pick one item you actually intend to use for the rest of the run and funnel every upgrade resource into it rather than spreading materials thinly across your whole loadout. Looting chests and completing Haunting Cases keeps the materials flowing. Note that this is a strict subset of Bring it on!, which wants eight rank 7 items simultaneously — so if you are going for the full list, plan your material spending around that larger goal from the start.

Banishing Move
Defeat 50 enemies with a Banishment · 24.1% of players
~Cumulative
Banish 50 enemies.

Steam description: _Defeat 50 enemies with a Banishment_.

Banishment is the finisher on weakened enemies, so this accumulates naturally as long as you actually use it instead of chipping enemies down with normal attacks.

Make it a habit: the moment an enemy is prompted as banishable, banish it. Fifty is a low bar across a full campaign and you will almost certainly finish this during the mid-game without going out of your way.

Right on Target
Defeat 5 enemies with a weakspot hit (Rifle) in a single encounter · 24.0% of players
~20 min
Land 5 rifle weakspot kills in one encounter.

Steam description: _Defeat 5 enemies with a weakspot hit (Rifle) in a single encounter_.

All five kills must come from rifle weakspot hits and all five must happen inside the same fight, so you want an encounter with at least five enemies and enough space to line up shots.

Soften enemies with other tools first if you like — only the killing blow needs to be a rifle weakspot hit. Fighting from a distance where enemies approach you in a line, rather than swarming, makes the aiming far more forgiving. Bring plenty of ammunition and pick a fight you can afford to reload and repeat.

Round Figure
Collect 10 000 Pieces of Eight · 17.9% of players
~Cumulative
Bank 10,000 Pieces of Eight.

Steam description: _Collect 10 000 Pieces of Eight_.

This is the game's currency total, accumulated from loot, chests and case rewards. Exploring thoroughly for the collectible and chest achievements will carry you most of the way there by itself.

Because it tracks money collected, spending is not automatically a problem — but if you are close and unsure, hold off on big purchases until it pops rather than risking a stall.

The Good Hunter
Find 50 Soul Grabbers in New Eden · 15.3% of players
~Exploration
Find all 50 Soul Grabbers.

Steam description: _Find 50 Soul Grabbers in New Eden_.

One of several full-sweep collection achievements. Soul Grabbers are scattered across the regions and are easy to walk past if you stick to quest paths.

Treat it as part of one big exploration pass alongside Bookworm, Locksmith, Cursed Locksmith, Gimme Shelter and Prospector — sweeping each region once, completely, is far more efficient than backtracking region by region for each collectible type separately. If you finish the story short of 50, a community map is the fastest way to find the stragglers.

American Vampyr
Find the old writings by the Brotherhood of Saint Paul's Stole · 15.0% of players
~Optional
Find the Brotherhood of Saint Paul's Stole writings.

Steam description: _Find the old writings by the Brotherhood of Saint Paul's Stole_.

An optional lore pickup and a nod to the studio's earlier vampire game. It is a specific set of old writings hidden off the main path — the description confirms what you are looking for, but we have not verified the exact location, so we will not send you to the wrong place.

Read every document you find while exploring and it will turn up; if you finish the game without it, a community guide will pin the spot in seconds.

Cases Closed
Solve all the Haunting Cases of New Eden · 13.9% of players
~Full playthrough
Solve every Haunting Case in New Eden.

Steam description: _Solve all the Haunting Cases of New Eden_.

Haunting Cases are the game's side investigations, and this wants every single one resolved. Note that it asks for cases solved, not for any particular verdict, so the moral outcome you choose does not block it.

The risk here is missing cases rather than failing them — some are easy to walk past, and a few of the hidden story achievements on this list are almost certainly tied to individual case outcomes. Check the case log regularly and clear the map region by region before pushing the main story forward.

Until a cure is found
Freeze 5 enemies in a single encounter · 13.9% of players
~15 min
Freeze 5 enemies at once.

Steam description: _Freeze 5 enemies in a single encounter_.

Five enemies need to be frozen within the same fight. Whether they must be frozen simultaneously or merely across the encounter is not spelled out in the description, so play it safe and aim for a tight cluster you can catch together.

Find an encounter with a large group of weaker enemies, let them close in so they overlap, and apply your freeze effect into the middle of the pack. Doing it early in a fight, before you have thinned the group, gives you the most bodies to work with.

Second Death
Defeat the Specter of a banished ghost in the Void · 13.7% of players
~Mid game
Kill the Specter of a ghost you already banished.

Steam description: _Defeat the Specter of a banished ghost in the Void_.

This requires two steps: banish a ghost as the resolution of a Haunting Case, then face and defeat its Specter in the Void.

The important implication is that it is locked out on a purely merciful run — you need at least one banishment verdict to create the Specter in the first place. If you are aiming for the full list, plan at least one case to end in banishment. The exact Void encounter that follows is not something we have verified, so treat the sequencing above as the requirement and let the game guide the rest.

Farewell my love
Successfully give Antea her ascent · 13.1% of players
~Ending
Give Antea her ascent.

Steam description: _Successfully give Antea her ascent_.

One of the game's ending-path achievements. Ascension and resurrection are described as different outcomes for Antea, and the other achievement on this list — Death is a journey — asks for the opposite result.

Because of that, assume you cannot have both in a single uninterrupted run. Keep a save from before the decisive choice, or budget for a second playthrough. We have not verified exactly where the point of no return sits, so save early and save often as you approach the end of the story rather than trusting a single autosave.

Hidden Door
Unlock the secret passage in Bligh Manor · 12.3% of players
~Optional
Open the secret passage in Bligh Manor.

Steam description: _Unlock the secret passage in Bligh Manor_.

A single optional secret inside Bligh Manor. The description tells you the building; the puzzle or key that opens it is not something we have verified, so we will not invent a solution.

When you are in the manor, search it exhaustively — read documents, check for interactables behind furniture and in side rooms — rather than heading straight for the objective marker. If it does not fall out, a community guide or the tips below will point at the exact mechanism.

Bring it on!
Equip 8 items at rank 7 (Relic) at the same moment · 11.9% of players
~Endgame grind
Wear 8 rank 7 (Relic) items at the same time.

Steam description: _Equip 8 items at rank 7 (Relic) at the same moment_.

The biggest resource sink in the game. Eight separate pieces of equipment all fully upgraded to Relic, all equipped simultaneously.

This needs planning from early on: decide which eight items you want to carry and stop spending materials on anything else. Cursed chests, locked chests, treasure maps and Haunting Case rewards are your material pipeline, which is why this achievement lines up so neatly with the full-completion exploration pass. Expect it to be the last thing you unlock before Master Banishers.

Gimme Shelter
Activate all Shelters in New Eden · 11.4% of players
~Exploration
Activate every Shelter.

Steam description: _Activate all Shelters in New Eden_.

Shelters double as your fast-travel and rest points, so activating them is something you want to do anyway. The achievement simply asks for all of them.

Make a habit of walking to any Shelter icon you spot rather than only the ones on your route. Because Shelters unlock fast travel, doing this early makes every other collection achievement on the list dramatically less tedious — this is the one to prioritise.

Raider
Complete all Haunted Grounds of New Eden · 9.0% of players
~Exploration
Clear every Haunted Ground.

Steam description: _Complete all Haunted Grounds of New Eden_.

Haunted Grounds are the game's optional combat challenge areas. Every one of them needs completing.

They are marked on the map once discovered, so the real work is discovery rather than difficulty — sweep each region rather than following the story critical path. They also drop upgrade materials, which feeds directly into Bring it on!, so this is efficient time regardless.

Full Potency
Reach level 25 · 8.5% of players
~Full playthrough
Reach level 25.

Steam description: _Reach level 25_.

The level cap achievement. If you are completing Haunting Cases, clearing Haunted Grounds and exploring for collectibles — which the rest of this list demands anyway — you will hit 25 comfortably during a completionist run.

If you rush the critical path you may finish the story short of it, so do the side content before the endgame rather than after.

Counterattack
Defeat 3 enemies with a post parry attack in a single encounter · 8.2% of players
~20 min
Land 3 post-parry kills in one fight.

Steam description: _Defeat 3 enemies with a post parry attack in a single encounter_.

Three enemies must die specifically to the follow-up attack that comes after a successful parry, all within one encounter.

That means you need enemies who attack you — passive or ranged enemies will not give you parries — and you need them low enough that the counter finishes them. Chip a group down first, then bait attacks and punish. Melee-heavy encounters with several aggressive enemies are far better candidates than mixed groups, and it is worth practising the parry timing well before you attempt this.

Bookworm
Collect all Collectibles in New Eden · 6.6% of players
~Full sweep
Collect every collectible in New Eden.

Steam description: _Collect all Collectibles in New Eden_.

The full collectible sweep, and typically the most time-consuming achievement in the game after the Relic grind.

Do it as one deliberate pass per region rather than opportunistically. Activate every Shelter first so fast travel is available, then work through a region completely — collectibles, chests, Soul Grabbers, Haunted Grounds — before moving on. If you finish the story with gaps, a community collectible map is far kinder than re-sweeping by eye.

Death is a journey
Successfully bring Antea back to life · 6.3% of players
~Ending
Bring Antea back to life.

Steam description: _Successfully bring Antea back to life_.

The counterpart to Farewell my love. Resurrection and ascension are described as different outcomes, so plan on needing a save before the final decision or a second playthrough to see both.

We have not verified what the game requires of you across the campaign to make resurrection available, so do not assume it is a single late choice — play the cases attentively and keep saves as you approach the end.

Cursed Locksmith
Unlock all cursed chests in New Eden · 5.7% of players
~Exploration
Open every cursed chest.

Steam description: _Unlock all cursed chests in New Eden_.

Cursed chests are the special variant, tracked separately from ordinary locked chests (Locksmith). All of them must be opened.

As with the other sweeps, fast travel plus a region-by-region pass is the efficient route. Cursed chests are also a strong source of upgrade materials, which you will want for Bring it on!.

A Farmer's Life
Complete the same Ritual site 10 times (intensity level 10) · 5.6% of players
~Grind
Complete the same Ritual site 10 times.

Steam description: _Complete the same Ritual site 10 times (intensity level 10)_.

A repeatable grind rather than a challenge: one Ritual site, completed ten times, taking it to intensity level 10.

The description implies the site scales as you repeat it, so start it once you have decent gear rather than early — pushing a scaling site at level 10 with under-levelled equipment is the slow way to do it. Pick a site near a Shelter so resetting between attempts is quick.

Locksmith
Unlock all locked chests in New Eden · 5.4% of players
~Exploration
Open every locked chest.

Steam description: _Unlock all locked chests in New Eden_.

Every standard locked chest across New Eden, tracked separately from the cursed ones. Same advice as the other sweeps: unlock all Shelters first, then clear regions completely instead of following the story path.

Chests are the main loot source in the game, so this achievement is also how you fund the Relic upgrades for Bring it on!.

Soulmates
Defeat 50 enemies while Fusion is active · 4.6% of players
~Cumulative
Kill 50 enemies while Fusion is active.

Steam description: _Defeat 50 enemies while Fusion is active_.

Fifty kills that land while Fusion is running. The only way to fail this is to never use Fusion.

Make a point of activating it in every larger fight instead of saving it for emergencies, and target weaker enemies while it is up so you convert the window into as many kills as possible. It will resolve itself well inside a normal playthrough.

Catch 'Em All
Collect all 88 available equipments · 3.6% of players
~Full sweep
Collect all 88 pieces of equipment.

Steam description: _Collect all 88 available equipments_.

Eighty-eight distinct pieces of equipment, which means gear from chests, rewards and vendors all need to be accounted for.

Because some equipment comes from case rewards and merchants rather than the ground, do not sell anything and check vendors regularly — the exploration sweep alone may not cover it. Keep an eye on your equipment list as it fills so you can spot which category you are short in rather than discovering it at the end.

Prospector
Complete all treasure maps · 3.4% of players
~Exploration
Complete every treasure map.

Steam description: _Complete all treasure maps_.

Treasure maps are found items that each point at a buried cache. All of them must be found and cashed in — collecting the map is only half the job, since the achievement asks for the maps to be completed rather than merely picked up.

Do not leave a map sitting unredeemed in your inventory, and fold the digs into the same region-by-region sweep you are doing for Bookworm and the chest achievements.

Teacher's Pet
Find 15 Bibles for Hugh Batcheler · 2.6% of players
~Side quest
Find 15 Bibles for Hugh Batcheler.

Steam description: _Find 15 Bibles for Hugh Batcheler_.

A collection side quest given by Hugh Batcheler — fifteen Bibles scattered around the world and handed back to him.

They are ordinary world pickups, so the region-by-region exploration pass covers most of them. Remember that finding them is not enough on its own: the achievement is framed around delivering them to Hugh, so return to him once you have the set.

Master Banishers
Unlock all achievements · 1.5% of players
~Completion
Unlock every other achievement.

Steam description: _Unlock all achievements_.

The completion capstone. It fires automatically once all 42 other achievements are done, so there is nothing to do here beyond finishing everything else.

Realistically the last three holdouts will be Bring it on! (eight Relic-rank items), the full collectible and equipment sweeps, and whichever of the two Antea ending achievements you did not get on your first run. Plan your saves around the ending choice early and this becomes a matter of patience rather than difficulty.
