Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number — Achievement Walkthrough
29 achievement guides · Full game page →
Kill five enemies in quick succession so the combo counter reaches 5x. Comes naturally in the early levels.
The Fans are one of the playable groups, and they become available as you progress through their chapters. Story-related, so it comes with normal play.
Reach a 10x combo. Pick a floor with lots of enemies grouped near doors, open with a door slam or a quiet takedown, then move fast between kills so the timer doesn't lapse.
Hotline Miami 2 is brutal, so most players reach 1,000 deaths during a normal playthrough plus some hard mode. If you are short, restart deaths on any floor still count.
Snake masks belong to one of the playable characters and unlock as you progress through that character's levels. Comes with normal play; if any are missing, replay that character's levels.
The Soldier's weapon loadouts unlock as you play his chapters. Should come naturally; replay his levels if a weapon is still locked.
The Son's techniques unlock across his chapters. Finish all of them; replay if any technique is still locked.
Complete the story on normal. Unlocks hard mode, which 1-800-GETHELP needs.
Each Fan plays differently. Replay a Fans level once with each Fan selected - an early Fans level is the quickest choice.
Smash or shoot electronics (TVs, arcade machines and similar objects) in levels. The count is cumulative, so it usually comes while playing; deliberately break any you pass if you are short.
Per the PowerPyx guide this happens in Pilot: Midnight Animal, a level framed as a film shoot. Follow the Director's instructions exactly; the precise instruction is not verified here - see a community guide if it does not pop.
Reach a 15x combo. Choose a large, crowded floor, route the kills in advance, and keep moving - grabbing a stronger weapon early helps maintain the chain.
Play Scene 13: SUBWAY and finish it without the Gang Leader spotting you. Learn his position first, then plan a route that keeps out of his line of sight.
After SNAKE CHARMER, replay a level once with each snake mask equipped. A short level makes this quick.
Clear Scene 2: HOMICIDE using only melee and non-gun attacks. Don't pick up firearms at all, and slow down for clustered enemies.
On Scene 7: NO MERCY, finish the first floor using the silenced weapon. Exact setup not verified here; pick the silencer option if the level offers a loadout choice.
Hidden on Steam. The PowerPyx trophy guide describes it as unlocking THE ABYSS; how that is unlocked is not verified here - see a community guide.
Reach a 20x combo - the toughest combo achievement. Needs a level with at least 20 enemies close together, plus a well-practised route and no hesitation.
Requires a character with a chainsaw and a partner who can shoot (the description implies a duo). During a chainsaw finisher, two enemies must be shot. Exact character setup not verified here.
Hidden on Steam. The PowerPyx trophy guide places it in Scene 13: Subway (the same level as DEAD SILENT); the exact trigger is not verified here - see a community guide.
Hidden on Steam. The PowerPyx trophy guide places it in Scene 2: Homicide; the exact trigger is not verified here - see a community guide.
The Writer can play non-lethally. Clear every one of his levels without killing anyone - knock enemies out and unload guns rather than shooting.
After WHAT YOU LEAVE FOR YOUR SONS, replay a level once with each of the Son's techniques selected.
Hard mode unlocks after finishing the game once. Clear the whole story on hard - more enemies, and the levels are reworked.
Tied to the game's 10 hidden newspapers. PowerPyx's guide says they sit in chapter intros and outros (where there are no enemies) and none are missable - you can collect them through chapter select after beating the game. Use a newspaper location guide.
Every weapon must be used at least once. Check a community weapon list and tick them off - some only appear on specific levels.
Earn an A+ grade on every level on normal difficulty. Grade depends on score, so combos, flexibility and speed matter. Replay levels one at a time.
Cumulative across all play. A full playthrough plus hard mode and A+ grinding gets you a long way; finish the rest by replaying a crowded level.
Unlocks when every other achievement is done.
