A lot of this list is single-run conditions that don’t conflict with each other, so you can earn several at once instead of replaying for each. Each plan below is one run. Achievements in a plan are marked with a ⛓ badge further down.
Every one of these is scoped by its own description to a single raft or to having things placed at once, so build them all onto the same raft rather than spreading them across saves. Clear a big flat deck first, then place the sail and stationary anchor, 20 cropplots, 20 storages, 30 pipes and 10 beehives before you tear anything down. Powered Up is a separate moment on the same raft: cook and drink everything you need so that every meal and drink buff is running at the same time.
- ✓▢Aye Aye Captain! — Place a sail and a stationary anchor on the same raft.
- ✓▢Farmer! — Have 20 cropplots on the same raft.
- ✓▢Hoarder! — Have 20 storages on the same raft.
- ✓▢Plumber Power! — Have 30 pipes placed at once.
- ✓▢Bee Keeper! — Have 10 beehives placed at once.
- ✓▢Powered Up! — Have all buffs from meals and drinks active on you at the same time.
The counts are for things placed AT ONCE, not built in total, so do not dismantle cropplots or storages to reclaim materials until all six have popped. Powered Up is the one with a timer on it - buffs expire, so line up every meal and drink before you start eating.
The eight hunting achievements all come in Beginner / Intermediate / Expert tiers on the same counter, so the Expert number passes straight through the two below it. Do not treat them as separate goals: pick the Expert target for each creature and only chase that number.
- ✓▢Beginner Shark Hunter! — Kill 1 shark.
- ✓▢Intermediate Shark Hunter! — Kill 10 sharks.
- ✓▢Expert Shark Hunter! — Kill 50 sharks.

- ✓▢Expert Anglerfish Hunter! — Kill 50 Anglerfish.
Nesting only - these are cumulative kill counters, not a single-session challenge, so nothing here has to be done in one sitting. We have not verified whether the counters are per-save or carry across saves, so play it safe and do the grinding on one long-running world.
You'll get this on your first session without trying. A Raft day lasts about 20 real minutes, so finish one day/night cycle on any world.
Have a friend join your world or join theirs; being in the same session is enough. If none of your friends own Raft, people on the Steam forums and streamers regularly offer quick co-op sessions.
Comes in your first half hour. Each foundation costs plank and plastic, so keep hooking debris and expanding the raft.
Throwing the hook at planks, plastic, palm leaves and barrels gets you there in the first hour. Collection nets and grabbing stuff by hand while swimming do not count.
Craft a spear, get in the water and stab the shark's face right as it opens its mouth, which cancels the bite. Follow up with stabs as it swims away until it dies.
Seven days is about 2 hours 20 minutes of play if you never sleep. All days have to be on one world, so pick a save and stay on it. Easy or Peaceful is the low-stress way since dying costs you nothing. A full day runs roughly 20 real minutes and sleeping in a bed skips 8pm to 4am, so sleep every night to cut the time. A calendar (2 planks, 2 nails) shows the day count.
6 planks, 6 leaves and 4 plastic. Place it on the raft and you're done.
Once you have a working receiver, large islands show as green dots on its radar. Sail to one. You can also run into one by drifting.
One of your first crafts: 6 planks, 1 scrap and 3 rope. Scrap comes from barrels at random, so the grill sometimes comes after the purifier.
Warthogs live on large islands. Lure one to the beach and stand in the shallows: it can't follow you far into the water, so it stops at the waterline and you can stab it safely. Otherwise sidestep the charge and get one or two stabs on its back before it turns.
Sail: 3 scrap, 20 leaves, 10 planks. Stationary anchor: 10 planks, 6 rope, 3 metal ingots, 1 hinge, so you'll need a smelter and some metal ore first. The throwable anchor doesn't count.
Seagulls land on your crop plots to eat them. Hit one with a spear or an arrow while it's pecking and it drops.
Thirty days works out to roughly 10 hours on a single save.
When you first switch on a receiver the Radio Tower's frequency is already entered; follow the blue marker. Parkour your way up the tower to the top room (E-1), where the whiteboard, the last note and Tala are. Standing in front of the board unlocks it.
The shark respawns a few minutes after you kill it, so this comes in steady play. Shark kills come fastest on Easy, where its bites barely hurt and dying costs nothing. Swim straight at it and stab its face as it opens its mouth; that cancels the bite and you can chase for a couple of stabs on the tail. Flippers help you keep up.
You'll meet your first Lurker inside the Vasagatan yacht. Strafe around it and stab; a metal spear takes about 3 hits.
Craft the cooking pot and a clay bowl to serve with. Any meal from a recipe works; recipe cards turn up in crates. The vegetable stew from potatoes and/or beets is reportedly the easiest early one.
Poison-puffers are the small yellow fish around large islands that blow up in a poison cloud if you hang near them. Shoot them from range with a bow, about 3 metal arrows each. If you let one explode, it reportedly doesn't count as a kill.
Most players hit 100 naturally by the midgame. If you want it early, build a separate deck off the back of the raft in 10x10 chunks, then tear it down with the hammer and build again, which also counts toward This Goes Here! and keeps the world from lagging.
Collect the four bomb parts around the yacht: gas tank, bullet (it's on the bar and looks like a bottle), electrical wires (from the code safe) and the lighter. Craft the bomb and use it on the locked cockpit door on the top floor.
Lurkers are the mutant rats on Vasagatan, with tougher ones on Tangaroa. Vasagatan is the farm: they respawn once you've moved far enough away, so clear a floor, climb up, jump out and come back down. A metal spear kills a small one in about 3 stabs; circle-strafe while you stab.
Your first bears are on Balboa Island. Step in for a stab or two between its swipes and back out; around 10 hits with a metal spear.
Expect 10-12 notes depending on how the transcribed ones are counted. The ones people miss are locked: one in a staff locker (bolt cutters), one in a chest that opens with the 4-digit code from the dining room, one behind a blocked door that needs the car jack, and the ones on the top-floor bridge after you blow the door with the bomb. Bring headlights, the inside is pitch dark at night.
Wear flippers and an oxygen bottle and kill the shark first. At Caravan Town, follow the pipe running down from the bicycle at the bottom of the tower and you'll pass 100 m. Any deep water works, the pipe only gives you a route.
There are 5 notes. One is in the suitcase propping a door open underwater, two are in rooms you pass on the climb, and two are in the top room with the whiteboard. Everything you pick up goes to your journal.
Craft a net launcher (2 scrap, 4 plastic, 1 metal ingot, 2 bolts) and net canisters, which need explosive powder from Poison-puffers. Cluckers, goats and llamas spawn on large islands. Get close, since the net is slow and short-ranged.
The easy farm is bird nests (6 palm leaves, 6 planks, 1 giant clam each). Place a bunch on the raft, wait for seagulls to sit in them, and one metal arrow from the bow kills each one; walking up with a spear tends to spook them.
Comes with normal play. A barrel or crate counts as one hooked item no matter what's inside, and anything caught by collection nets or picked up underwater doesn't count.
Screechers are the big red-and-black birds on large islands that drop boulders on you. Get to high ground with a bow and shoot as it flies up toward you, leading the shot a little; it takes around 7 metal arrows. Stabbing it when it lands to grab a rock works but it can drop the boulder on you right as it lifts off.
Packages drop from crates, barrels and treasure. Open each one; it teaches a crafting recipe. You need all of them, so it's a long luck grind. Unconfirmed: about 64 recipes in total.
On Balboa, follow the trail of notes to the hilltop camp near Mama Bear's area, below Relay Station 6, with the circle of scarecrow mannequins. Take the lightbulb off the main figure; that triggers it, and you need the bulb for Fix Errol!
Craft a sweep net (planks, rope, vine goo, a bolt) and swing it at a bee swarm; each swarm caught counts as one bee. Swarms are on Balboa Island, Caravan Town and large islands.
Happens on its own if you build and tear down foundations for the Builder achievements. Otherwise place a collection net and pick it back up over and over.
Find Bruno's saw (locker at the bottom of the path up to Relay Stations 4 and 6, and taking it wakes the bear below), hammer (shelf in Relay Station 4) and wrench (table in Relay Station 6). Hang all three on the toolboard in the Ranger Station; the board falls and you grab the photo behind it.
Turn your volume up on Balboa and listen for a bike bell. It's a bike leaning against a tree on a hill near the tent, with a note about the chain. Walk up to it (ring the bell if it doesn't pop).
Trading posts are on large islands, not story islands. Buy fishing bait or anything else from the post to unlock this.
Butler-Bots only show up on Tangaroa once you're out of the underground and into the city. Knock one out with a few hits (about 4 metal arrows or 6 stone arrows, or a handful of machete/spear hits); it shuts down for a while and comes back, so you can disrupt the same bot repeatedly.
There are 10 notes. Two that get missed: one is on the small island where the rocket lands, and one is in the locked chest in the Mayor's House, whose key is in the Infirmary. The rest are on tables and counters in the containers on the three pinnacles and the central tower.
Balboa Island is the place: its bears respawn once you get far enough away. Grab the hand-drawn Balboa map, run a loop that hits five bears, then go round again. Dance in and out of range and land a stab or two between attacks; a metal spear takes about 10. Polar bears on Temperance count too.
You build the zipline tool from parts found on Caravan Town, and the town's own ziplines between the pinnacles get you to 100 m.
After taking the lightbulb at the scarecrow camp, go to the Ranger Station and use it on the dummy standing outside that's missing its head.
The launch puzzle note gives four building pictures and street names; the building numbers make the code, which is 4813. Enter it at the keypad near the top of the Main Tower. The tower top blasts off into the sea and you sail out to it for the rest of the story.
You need the metal detector (blueprint on Caravan Town; 12 plastic, 6 scrap, a simple battery) and a shovel. Walk around an island until the meter goes fully green and beeps fast, then dig. Small islands usually have one treasure, large ones several.
Small storages are the cheapest, so spam 20 of those anywhere on the raft.
Small crop plots are the cheapest; place 20 of them on the same raft. They don't need anything planted.
There are a dozen-plus notes spread across the Ranger Station and Relay Stations 2, 4 and 6, plus a trail of them around the scarecrow camp on the hill near Mama Bear. Get the machete from Mama Bear's cave first to save backtracking. One note sits behind the toolboard in the Ranger Station and only shows up once you hang all of Bruno's tools.
Vending tokens are scattered around Tangaroa, Temperance and Utopia and go into your journal when picked up. Spend them at the vending machines, the first ones being by the Main Tower doors on Tangaroa. Buying the 8-token grand piano gets you most of the way and sets up Instrumentalist!
There are 10. Half are in the underground section (cafeteria, the room after the container puzzle, the plantation room), one is at the statue outside the underground exit, two are in the Main Tower, and the last two are on the tower top after it launches into the sea, so you won't finish this until after Launch Initiated!
The Rhino Shark is the boss deep in the flooded foundations at Varuna Point and you have to beat it to progress, so you'll get this during the story. Loot the corpse for its trophy.
Your first anglerfish will be underwater at Varuna Point. A few machete or spear hits kill one.
At Varuna Point, a zipline runs from the tallest building down to the smallest one, and riding it all the way does it. A 50+ block line on your raft also works.
Rare animals are recolours of the normal clucker, goat or llama and spawn at random on large islands. Net every animal that looks off-colour. It's luck, so keep the net launcher on you while you're farming other island stuff.
Like the crashed plane, it's a random rare island (around 2% per island spawn) that won't show on the receiver. Look for a small island with a boat wrecked into it and a big HELP flag. Reaching it unlocks this, and the captain's hat is inside.
Poison-puffers are the small yellow fish around large islands that blow up in a poison cloud if you hang near them. Shoot them from range with a bow, about 3 metal arrows each. If you let one explode, it reportedly doesn't count as a kill. Each large island has several, and their drops are your source of explosive goo.
Reputation goes up when you trade. Buy simple bait at the post, catch fish with it and sell them back; each fish is a coin and reputation. Trash cubes from the recycler (blueprint from the Radio Tower) also sell for coins. Roughly 30 fish gets you to tier 2.
There are 7. Most are in the building with the crane, underwater and past the traps; one is on the excavator up top, one is at the top of the crane arm, and the last is in the small building you smash open by dropping bricks with the crane.
Vending tokens are scattered around Tangaroa, Temperance and Utopia and go into your journal when picked up. Spend them at the vending machines, the first ones being by the Main Tower doors on Tangaroa. Tangaroa alone has enough if you loot the apartments.
Take a snowmobile from one of the garages on Temperance and drive it into the water.
Craft a sweep net (planks, rope, vine goo, a bolt) and swing it at a bee swarm; each swarm caught counts as one bee. Swarms are on Balboa Island, Caravan Town and large islands.
Warthogs live on large islands. Lure one to the beach and stand in the shallows: it can't follow you far into the water, so it stops at the waterline and you can stab it safely. Otherwise sidestep the charge and get one or two stabs on its back before it turns.
Do it on Easy where you keep your inventory, then drown or let the shark eat you 25 times.
The grand piano costs 8 tokens at the Tangaroa vending machines. Place it on your raft, sit down and play any key.
Utopia is the last island. Climb it while Olaf firebombs you, solve the cable, pipe, fan and weight puzzles, survive the hyena pit, then kill the Alpha Hyena in the arena and free the prisoners. Reportedly only the host gets this in co-op.
Pure luck. The plane crash island has roughly a 2% chance each time an island spawns and it never shows on the receiver. You only need to get close or step on it. Worlds made before the First Chapter update are reportedly buggy for this, so try it on a newer save.
Tala is in the top room of the Radio Tower, Johnny is in Relay Station 6 on Balboa, Elaine is in the Tangaroa tower top after it launches into the sea, and Shogo is reached through the Selene Research Facility on Temperance. Talk to each to unlock them.
Reputation goes up when you trade. Buy simple bait at the post, catch fish with it and sell them back; each fish is a coin and reputation. Trash cubes from the recycler (blueprint from the Radio Tower) also sell for coins. Tier 3 needs much more reputation (3000 points), so better bait and fish speed it up once tier 2 unlocks them.
Once you can craft ziplines, build a long run on your raft (around 50 blocks, ideally between two levels) and ride it back and forth. Distance adds up across rides.
Collect berries from bushes around Balboa and drop five into the bin near her area; she goes to eat and you get free hits, then repeat. A bow is safest: the boulders to the left of her cave lead up to a ledge she can't reach. Bring roughly 40-60 arrows (fewer if they're metal). Grab the machete from her cave while you're there.
Every item you put in the research table gets consumed, so keep a spare of anything you haven't researched yet. You need every researchable item, many of which only show up in later story islands, so this pops late in a playthrough.
Shark kills come fastest on Easy, where its bites barely hurt and dying costs nothing. Swim straight at it and stab its face as it opens its mouth; that cancels the bite and you can chase for a couple of stabs on the tail. Flippers help you keep up. A metal spear lasts much longer than the wooden one for a 50-kill grind.
Vending tokens are scattered around Tangaroa, Temperance and Utopia and go into your journal when picked up. Spend them at the vending machines, the first ones being by the Main Tower doors on Tangaroa. Reportedly there are 101 tokens across the three islands, so 30 is no problem.
Craft a paint brush and a paint mill; the mill has to sit on the raft's edge touching water and only grinds while the raft is moving. Turn flower seeds into the base colours (red, yellow, blue, white, black) and paint any blocks.
The easy farm is bird nests (6 palm leaves, 6 planks, 1 giant clam each). Place a bunch on the raft, wait for seagulls to sit in them, and one metal arrow from the bow kills each one; walking up with a spear tends to spook them. Ten to twenty nests keeps a steady stream of targets coming.
Doing all 50 on your first visit saves a return trip.
Craft a net launcher (2 scrap, 4 plastic, 1 metal ingot, 2 bolts) and net canisters, which need explosive powder from Poison-puffers. Cluckers, goats and llamas spawn on large islands. Get close, since the net is slow and short-ranged. You don't have to keep them; a captured animal counts even if you let it go.
Do all 20 before you leave Tangaroa.
You need the metal detector (blueprint on Caravan Town; 12 plastic, 6 scrap, a simple battery) and a shovel. Walk around an island until the meter goes fully green and beeps fast, then dig. Small islands usually have one treasure, large ones several.
The Grabber's caches are red G's painted on walls, all in the flooded parts of the two buildings; look straight at each one so it registers. Bring flippers and an oxygen bottle. Reportedly there are 17, with the last on the door at the end of the tunnel right before the Rhino Shark.
Pipes come later in the story (the water pipe blueprint is on Tangaroa). Once you can craft them, lay 30 sections anywhere on the raft.
There are 12. Several are in and around the weather Observatory, including the four blue drawings you need for the telescope puzzle. Others are in Moontown (the igloo village) and inside the Selene Research Facility, with the last on the laptop in the cryo-chamber.
In Tangaroa's underground you move containers with a crane from a control panel. The secret room is underneath the panel you're operating from; shift the containers to open a way down into it. If you've already flooded the area you can still do it, but you'll have to position the boxes by guesswork.
Craft a paint brush and a paint mill; the mill has to sit on the raft's edge touching water and only grinds while the raft is moving. Turn flower seeds into the base colours (red, yellow, blue, white, black) and paint any blocks. Base colours cost the least paint.
1000 is a materials grind, not a skill check. Build a separate deck off the back of the raft in 10x10 chunks, then tear it down with the hammer and build again, which also counts toward This Goes Here! and keeps the world from lagging. The count reportedly carries across worlds, so it doesn't all have to be on one raft.
Craft a sweep net (planks, rope, vine goo, a bolt) and swing it at a bee swarm; each swarm caught counts as one bee. Swarms are on Balboa Island, Caravan Town and large islands. Large islands near Balboa and Caravan Town tend to share their biome and can have several swarms each.
The firework blueprint is on Caravan Town, on the small island where the red rocket comes down. Each craft makes a batch and needs explosive powder from Poison-puffer goo. Place them and set them off until 50 have gone up.
Anglerfish only live at Varuna Point and Temperance, a few at each. The farm: find a spot with two of them close together (the ice tunnel under the Temperance observatory is the usual one), save, kill both, quit to the main menu without saving and reload. They're back, and the kills stay counted.
There's usually only one per large island, so it comes as you explore.
You need the metal detector (blueprint on Caravan Town; 12 plastic, 6 scrap, a simple battery) and a shovel. Walk around an island until the meter goes fully green and beeps fast, then dig. Small islands usually have one treasure, large ones several. Go for this alongside the paintings and tiki pieces, which also come from treasure.
Farm it all on your first Balboa visit so you don't have to sail back.
Poison-puffers are the small yellow fish around large islands that blow up in a poison cloud if you hang near them. Shoot them from range with a bow, about 3 metal arrows each. If you let one explode, it reportedly doesn't count as a kill. With a spear it takes about 4 stabs and you need flippers to back off between hits.
Once you can craft ziplines, build a long run on your raft (around 50 blocks, ideally between two levels) and ride it back and forth. Distance adds up across rides. The longer the line, the fewer rides you need.
Craft a paint brush and a paint mill; the mill has to sit on the raft's edge touching water and only grinds while the raft is moving. Turn flower seeds into the base colours (red, yellow, blue, white, black) and paint any blocks. Erasing paint with the brush and repainting the same blocks is the cheap way to rack up 1000. Erasing reportedly counts as a paint too, but that's unconfirmed on the current version, so repaint after every erase.
Each beehive takes a stack of bee jars, so most of the work is catching swarms with the sweep net on Balboa, Caravan Town and large islands. Place all 10 hives on one raft at once.
This is the long AFK grind. Without sleeping it's about 121-122 hours on one save; sleeping every night brings it down to roughly 80-90. Reportedly a co-op friend only gets credit for the days they were actually on the raft for.
Warthogs live on large islands. Lure one to the beach and stand in the shallows: it can't follow you far into the water, so it stops at the waterline and you can stab it safely. Otherwise sidestep the charge and get one or two stabs on its back before it turns. There are only a few per large island, so this stacks up over many island visits.
This one takes a long time if you play normally. Barrels count once, nets count zero, so it's all manual hooking. A plastic hook saves materials. Unconfirmed exploit: fill your whole inventory and hotbar, drop 100 leaves one at a time while anchored, then hook them back; each leaf reportedly counts even though it falls out of your full inventory, and you can repeat it.
Craft a net launcher (2 scrap, 4 plastic, 1 metal ingot, 2 bolts) and net canisters, which need explosive powder from Poison-puffers. Cluckers, goats and llamas spawn on large islands. Get close, since the net is slow and short-ranged. Each large island has 1-4 animals, so net them on every visit. Releasing them after capture still counts.
You need spices from trading posts (turmeric, chili, juniper; juniper needs tier 2). Make Salmon Salad, Hearty Stew and Catfish Deluxe in the cooking pot and the Redbeet Shot and Spicy Pineberry in the juicer, with strawberries from Tangaroa. Eat and drink them back to back.
The four tiki pole pieces come from treasure dug up with the metal detector. Stack them on top of each other in the correct order; a mask appears on the back and the achievement pops.
The 8 developer paintings come only from treasure: After the Rain, What Even Is?, Neighbour's Dog, The Pot, Foul Fogs, Man and Moon, Octohenge and Real Self Portrait. Place each one on your raft. You also need the paintings sold for tokens at the Tangaroa vending machines. Drops are rare, so this is a long digging grind.
Expect about one Screecher per large island, so 50 means a lot of island hopping.
One of the rarest achievements in the game because so few anglerfish spawn. Anglerfish only live at Varuna Point and Temperance, a few at each. The farm: find a spot with two of them close together (the ice tunnel under the Temperance observatory is the usual one), save, kill both, quit to the main menu without saving and reload. They're back, and the kills stay counted.
